submission`s pending?

i submited a new story over five days ago it is still showing as pending(views one) i have e,mailed to see if there is any problem with it but recived no reply do they sometimes take this long with the pending ?

Yes, it can take awhile depending on the number of submissions they've received in a day. And, with the Halloween contest coming up, I'm guessing they're receiving more than a few each day.

It'll take 'em awhile to get back to you via email too. Be paitent. If it's not posted or returned to you in another week, then you have my permission to be concerned.
