Is there something wrong with my submission page?
1st story I submitted – Went up fast, but the title was changed to a chapter story that needed to be corrected with an Edited version.
2nd story I submitted – Went up fine as I remember, but an EDITED version sat pending for 9 days before an email to Laurel and I was told it had been stuck on pending.
3rd story I submitted – Took 7 days to go up after the submissions last page was cut off. I know it wasn’t cut off when I submitted it because I have the 27 pages it is in the description box and I check every page to make sure I didn’t screw up an italics or bold setting. I only entered it into the Summer Contest because I was tired of waiting.
4th story I submitted – it was rejected for several reasons, one suggested reason was ‘Links to other websites/adverts’ which was never in my story. After an email and addressing the problem in the note box, the story went through as originally written. That took 6 days after the initial rejection.
5th story I submitted – that spent 10 days on the pending shelf. I sent 2 emails that received no response and on the 7th day I took the story down and resubmitted it, it took an additional 3 days. I mentioned my delays in the author’s forum and technical help sections.
6th story I am submitting – this was submitted early 10/28/17, so now it is the 8th day on the pending shelf. The site says 3 to 7 days before a story is submitted. I sent an email. No response yet. This story is in the nonhuman section and one writer had seven stories go up in that time, that really makes me feel like something is wrong here.
I know not to hit the pending button and make changes to a story, so I don’t. I submit and I wait and I wait and I wait and send emails (which make me feel like a bothersome asshole) and I wait. My question is: Am I just lucky in the amount of bad luck I’ve collected when submitting or is there a technical issue with my page?
