I havent submitted a story in over a year, so I am a bit out of date.

For the Keywords you submit with your story, can you sumbit whole phrases or just one word at a time? Lit's FAQ didn't clarify this. Also, if anyone knows, does the search funtion for phrases also include the title of the story? I wouldn't want to burn a keyword on something that will already turn up in the title. Likewise, I'd regret omitting one thinking the title would cause it turn up in other's searches.

(Just when you think you're in the know...)

flawed, you have 10 boxes now and beside it it says to put in phrases or words for a keyword search, so I think phrases are fine.

Hm i'd imagine the tittles go into the search anyway but maybe someone else will be clearer on that...

I dont think the titles are searched at all. In fact I think the story search function ONLY looks at the keywords.

However, that's JUST a guess, because I've never been able to figure out why the story search returned a hit on any given story. The only thing I've been able to determine about the story search function is that it is next to useless.

Really? well that seems silly. Least we have more room for keywords now...maybe they're trying to improve the search thing.

I'd bung the title in then, just to be on the safe side.

Huh - I must have missed that I could include phrases with the keyword boxes.

If the Title doesn't seem factor in the search returns, then I assume the short description also doesn't play a role.

Thanks!
