Stupid Question about Vacation Attire

I didn't know who else to ask. I wanted an honest opinion and my friends are all too nice.

Anyway, I'm going on a cruise with my husband and 3 teenaged sons. Most of the day will be spent in a bathing suit. Do you think it would be creepy for a 48 year old woman to wear a bikini? I'm trying to stick with black and subtle prints, but I did buy a pink one. I don't think I'll wear this one, but it's how I look, basically.

I'm 5'3" 110# and in reasonably good shape. I was planning to wear a modest cover up (not walk around on deck grossing people out) but I really want to max out my sun time. (Unhealthy, I know...)

Any thoughts?

Ditto. I think you look very, very nice! Your height and weight are alright too - no need to worry. Wear the pink bikini and have fun! You don't look 48. You could always use a cover up if you suddenly become shy.

If you're going to swim, you might want to see what the suits look like wet. The pink one may be more transparent that you might think.

I don't think it's creepy at all, I mean you look lovely, but I think that women of all ages should be able to dress how they like and not be concerned with how others view them. We are too much concerned about having to look exactly right. Dress however you feel comfortable, and if it's a little exciting for you as well, then that's fine too.

You do have a nice body like everyone said, but honestly, unless you're at the pool or sunbathing you should probably wear some sort of sarong, at least at the waist. It's a little creepy for any woman over thirty-five to be walking around in just a bikini on a cruise, boardwalk, basically anywhere there's not sand or water immediately underfoot. Having my mom showing off her body would make me feel uncomfy when I was a teenager, since it seems it's a family vacation... But other women on the cruise will be the final judgment, whether they give you dirty looks or not.
