Does anyone ever get annoyed when they get one of these "metal frisbees" in change?
Seriously, the United States half dollar is probably the most useless annoying coin ever created. Nobody uses these stupid things, they are annoying to carry around, and they just take up space in change drawers, like minature frisbees. I read that there is a shortage of nickel and copper to make coins- a good solution for the U.S. mint would be to stop making these dumb things in the first place, and melt down the ones that are still wasting space in bank vaults, as a source of raw materials. It would save the government a lot of money and be good for recycling.
