Jess Hillands is a student nurse and in her final year. Jess has been studying at the School of Nursing in England for 2 years and is starting her work placement in Edinburgh. She will be working under an experienced doctor called Dr William MacDaniel. Jess will be supervised by a ward sister also but do not know the name of the ward sister yet. Jess is really looking forward to the move to Edinburgh but nervous and scared at the same as she has never been there before and does not know anyone. She hopes that the staff at the hospital would be nice and friendly to her, especially the doctor she will be working with.

Jess is feeling nervous as she walks into the hospital entrance and wonders where she should be going as she searches for the Emergency and Accidents department. She remembered that she had the map of the hospital in her handbag and she took it out.

As Jess walked, she were focused on the map that she did not notice someone coming her way and she bumped into him. She jumped and looked up to see the most sexy and handsome Jess ever seen. Her heart began beating fast and some butterflies were rumbling around in her stomach.

"oh, sorry, sir..." Jess stuttered, "I....I...did not see you there....." and she felt her cheeks getting to blush.

"Och lassy, watch what ye're doing. Now what're ye aboot me lassy?" came the thick Scottish accent from the Doctor, who was taller than her, and had to look down at her.

brief history:
Born not 5 miles from Loch Ness, William was always a man who loved the ancient scottish history and traditions, as well as history of England herself.
He became a doctor for many reasons, but mostly because he had a nack for helping people.
He works in a hospital in the Imergency area, after transfering from the Maternity ward. He decided his calling didn't lie with giving birth to babies.
He is currently in a failing marriage, with an extremely conservative woman. She doesn't let him get out much, which causes him to rebel and do things behind her back. He has not yet sought satisfaction outside the marriage bed yet, but she has gone on a sexless kick, and poor William hasn't been laid in 6 months.

Jess wasn't listening as she were dreaming of what they could do in bed...... and not innocent either! Suddenly she heard him saying, "Name's William MacDaniel." And Jess snapped out of her dreamy world and paid attention to the doctor in front of her.

"Oh my god... what a first impression you might have got of me..." she
exclaimed, hands on her cheeks. The doctor looked at her strangely and she rushed on, "I am so sorry, I must introduce myself... my name's Jess.....Jess Hillands?" But the doctor still looked strangely....until she mentioned that she was a student nurse. And the doctor smiled....

Jess smiled and knew at once that she would be flirting with the doctor a lot. Jess loved going out with doctors, especially those who were a tad bit older than her. She wondered how old Dr MacDaniel was, probably in his 30s. She was once again off in her dreamy world that Jess did not hear Dr MacDaniel asking her something.

"Hello? Anyone there?" he asked and Jess blushed, snapping out once again and looked at Dr MacDaniel,

he nodded slowly, "Well please try not to space like that when opperating on a patient." he said just a bit more testily than was completely necessary.

ooc: please try not to move my character without my permission, there was nothing wrong with it this time, but it takes the fun out of it, if someone chooses your characters reactions in certain circumstances for you.

"You will mostly be asigned to assist the doctors or patients if they need anything." he explained, "Is this acceptable to you?" he asked.

Jess looked around the nurses station and nodded, "yeah thats fine, no problem," after Dr MacDaniel has explained to her about what to do in the department.

Jess smiled at Dr MacDaniel... and she wondered if she should take the plunge and ask the doctor if he were doing anything else tonight. After a few moments of silence, Jess decided to do it.

"Erm... doctor... I was just wondering.. if you would like to go out for a drink with me and perhaps show me around?" Jess asked nervously.

The doctor nodded, "I believe I could do that, everyone needs someone to show them the place before they get a bunch of friends." he said.
he turned to go, "Was there anything else?"

When the doctor agreed to a drink, I was so pleased and looking forward to tonight.

"Was there anything else?" Dr MacDaniel asked.

"No, thats fine, I am sure if I need anything, I will come and find you, sir," I flashed a sexy smile at him.

the doctor nodded, and moved off to his office, to sit and get some of the intendent paperwork, that no matter who you were, no matter what job you had, always seemed to follow you. He received a call from his wife, and told her he would be late home that night, that he had to orient a new nurse to the city. She agreed, saying she was going to dinner with some female friends as well.
Hanging up the phone, the doctor sighed, and decided to go make the rounds, today was a slow day, which was good in a way, this meant there weren't too many imergencies, but it also meant it was rather boring at the hospital. Passing the nurses station William nodded at the new student nurse, who was being talked to by one of the slightly older women on staff.

"God I wish he was looking for a girlfriend." the older nurse wispered to Jess conspiratorially.

Jess smiled at the warm welcome from the nurse and she thought if she might know anything about Dr MacDaniel and she asked.

"Oh! Dr MacDaniel is really handsome and gorgeous! All the nurses here fancy him!" she laughed, "God I wish he was looking for a girlfriend."

Jess was curious and was about to ask the other nurse when one of the patients came to the nurses station asking for help.

She sighed, wondering what the other nurse meant, not noticing Dr MacDaniel going near the nurses station.

Jess became more curiouser and she asked, "What do you mean?"

the other nurse shrugged, "I don't know how to explain it, we all know he isn't involved with someone sexually, we can see he isn't happy. There are many of us who would try to comfort him, but he won't let us."

"Oh right," Jess said, and wondered why is that. Jess felt something happening between her and the doctor but is very confused with the mixed signals the doctor is sending to her. She might try to ask him about it in a conversation without really asking him straight out.

the other nurse smiled again, "Well I have to go check on a few more patients, you can feel free to clock out soon, your shift is ending." she said and got up to leave.
She could see MacDaniel standing nearby in business etire, but without the white lab coat and such anymore.

Jess nodded at the nurse and as she packed her stuff into her bag, she thought that she would have an awesome experience at the hospital but at the same time, Jess wondered about Dr MacDaniel. She felt that Dr MacDaniel has gone through a bad time or has been in a bad relationship or something, and she hoped that she would be the one to break through.

Jess smiled as she got ready to leave, she was looking forward to tonight. Jess almost walked past Dr MacDaniel but then she remembered she has left her mobile behind. As Jess turned, she saw Dr MacDaniel standing at the entrance of the business etrie.

"Oh, hello, Dr MacDaniel, I almost didn't see you there," Jess said.

"Please, while off duty, call me William." he said with a small smile. "Are we still on for that drink?" he asked her.

"Yes, Dr Mac.....William, we are still on for that drink," Jess replied, "but wait a moment, I forgot my mobile, I will be back in a moment," she smiled.

After a few moments, Jess returned with her mobile, "Here it is," she said, holding her mobile up, "I am ready, let's go!"
