~Sometimes it takes one person for your to see the amazing person you are. Learning to love yourself isn't always the easiest thing to do

Eva Wren
was heading to class but stopped to meet up with her friend Andrew. Secretly she had a crush on him,and you couldn't blame her. Andrew was very handsome and all the girls wanted him. Knowing that her friend struggled quite a bit but that is how they hit things off. She was one of his first friends at college as they had a lot of classes together. Knowing what he had gone through as he was bullied a lot in high school.

"Hey!"she called out. Smiling as she walked up to Andrew. "Hey after class we should go get some coffee or something."she said.

Always an early riser, Andrew was leaving the campus rec center, just having finished his morning lifting session, while bunches of his classmates were bleary eyed and practically stumbling along the grass-lined pathways on their way to the first classes of the morning. Dressed in jeans, and a form fitting gray polo shirt that showed off his well muscles torso, a black leather messenger bag draped over one of his broad shoulders, he smiled feeling the morning sun on his face. What a different world college was from high school! After just three weeks into the semester, he had made a lot of friends, and even if he didn’t take them seriously, all the other guys told him that girls were really into him.

Having two hours to kill before his first class, he was headed for the library to study when he heard a familiar voice calling his name. “Hey Eva!” he greeted, pulling her into a gentle hug. “And yeah, coffee sounds great! We can do it after you’re done with your first class or we both get out of accounting.” His English accent was a little thicker now that he felt relaxed in the company of a friend.

Smiling after the hug before nodding her head. "Sounds like a plan, let's go after accounting. That way we can work on homework as well."she said. Eva took a seat before pulling out a notebook. "So....we still on for our usual movie night Thursday?"she asked. They made it their thing as it allowed them to destress and hangout. Plus guves her time with her crush. "I'll even order dinner."she said. Smiling up at Andrew, hoping he would stay yes. Yet Eva knew one day she would have to find the courage to express her feelings to Andrew. Not wanting to ruin their friendship either as they were super close.

“Since there’s no line of girls waiting to ask me out, I’m all yours,” he answered giving her nose a playful little poke. He knew she liked to tease him about how girls seemed to follow his every move, but he still wasn’t sure anyone was actually interested in him. In fact, Brian one of his teammates from intramural water polo told him Eva had a crush on him. Not that he would have minded as she was nice to everyone, beautiful, smart, and fun to name just a few things, but to Andrew he thought she saw him as just a good friend.

He grinned and continued adding, “It’s too bad we’re in the dorms or it could be Andrew cooks dinner for Eva. One of these days though,” he promised, as he slid into a chair across the table from her and took out his laptop and one of his textbooks.

Eva let out a chuckle after he poked her nose. Smiking as he would be willing to cook for her. "Well I have been thinking of getting an apartment. You know I could use a roommate."she said. Flipping through her notes before she looked up at Andrew. "It would give you some privacy from all your little fangirls."she teased. Digging in her bag before pulling out her laptop before booting it up. "Besides you do owe some of your cooking."she said. Knowing Andrew probably would move in with her.

Bringing up a site that she was interested in an apartment that was posted. Not too far from her job and school as well. Working at a local cafe as a barista, Andrew would come visit her at work sometimes. "Real talk...how are classes going for you?"she asked.

“Oh come now- you know I’d have to invite them in for coffee sometimes,” Andrew laughed, clearly not being serious. “But that’s not a bad idea. It can be hard to concentrate or get a good night’s sleep sometimes, and I’m even in a single. No rush for this term though, seeing as we’re already paid in.”

He began quietly tapping away at his keyboard, looking up when he heard Eva speaking to him. “I wasn’t sure what to expect really since everybody says college is so different from high school, but it’s not too bad, just a matter of staying on top of things. Everyone thinks I make it look easy, but I don’t think I’m more talented than many of them. It sounds weird to say that I’m excited about studying business and finance, but that’s what my dad does and where I got my passion for it from. How’s the semester going for you?”

Of course she knew he was joking but those girls were annoying at times. Hearing Andrew out about moving to an apartment but he had a point. Yet she wanted this as it give her more time with him. Snapping out of her thoughts as he turned the question towards her. "It's going....but I have my days were I feel defeated. Though I am sure things will work out. I have this drive...this passion but really I still find myself questioning my choices."she answered honestly. Leaning back in the chair as she sighed. "Sorry....I've just been in this like mood for a few days. My parents decided to get divorced and they didn't want to tell me."she said.

Shutting down her laptop before oacking her bag up. "Sorry if I killed the good vibe. I think I'm going to go walk in the green space to clear my mind. You're welcome to join me."she said. Her father has always been supportive of her but her mother not so much.

A look of concern crossed Andrew’s face at Eva’s words, and almost immediately he rose and walked around the table to stand beside her. He placed a hand on her shoulder, softly lifting her chin with his other hand. “I’m here if you need me,” he said simply. He couldn’t help but feel guilty that he hadn’t picked up on the fact that something was wrong in her life. However, that was just the type of person that Andrew was. He began to pack up his things as well. “Maybe we should grab that coffee now. We could take it back to my room since I live closest. There’s still almost two hours before accounting too.” He gazed down into her eyes, offering her his arm.

Eva couldn't help but smile a bit as he lifted her chin. They were always there for each other. Nodding her head as she took his arm as she got up. "Thanks...I just know things could get ugly between them."she said. Smiling more as they headed to a near by coffee house. Ordering their coffee to go before heading back to his dorm. Once back, Eva set her cup down before she placed her bag by the bed. Slipping her shoes off before plopping down in his bed. "I owe you one."she said. Smiling before taking a sip of her coffee.

“Hey- that’s what friends are for,” he said modestly, reaching for his pillow as he sat beside Eva. He placed it on his lap and motioned for her to lie down. “Besides you were the first friend that I made here. I think that’s pretty special.” Andrew smiled upon seeing his friend’s mood begin to brighten. He wasn’t sure if it was simply his company or the relief from opening up about something painful, but he was just happy to see the familiar sparkle return to those blue eyes.

As they continued to gaze into each other’s eyes, he slid his legs out from under Eva so that they were lying side by side. “Okay, score one for apartment life because I can get a much bigger bed” he laughed, pulling Eva a little closer to him.

Eva soon laid down before she smiled up at Andrew. It was a mixture of both the feeling of relief but also his presence. Letting out a chuckle as he pulled her close to him. "Well I do have a place in mind already that isn't too fair from the college."she said. Agreeing he needed a bigger bed but was really loving how close how he was holding her. "Plus it does have a fitness center."she said. Knowing that Andrew like to workout and stay fit.

As they lay together on the bed, Andrew couldn’t help but feel something he hadn’t noticed before. Could it be? Could Brian be right? For the moment though, the years of tormenting he had received while growing up were too much to overcome. Still, living together was a good thing, right? He grinned, his brown eyes shining at the suggestion. “You had me at just living together, you know,” he admitted. “Just trying to keep my guns all to yourself?” He winked and pulled her into another hug. They were used to reading each other like this, almost border line flirting, but this time their faces only seemed to get closer and closer together...

Eva chuckled, well he wasn't wrong yet smiled as he spoke. "Guns? What guns?"she teased. Her heart was fluttering as their faces got closer. Biting her lip a bit as she was nervous, not wanting to ruin this moment or their friendship. They borderline flirted all the time. "Really or was it the fact knowing your the only man that gets to hold me like this?"she teased.

“No way!” said Andrew, exaggerating his incredulousness a bit. To be honest, he was surprised that Eva wasn’t dating anyone. As much as she teased him for his female followers, all of his friends thought she was very attractive. His tone softened and he nuzzled his nose against hers, feeling her breath against his face. The closeness suddenly made him feel protective of Eva, and before he knew it, he leaned in and gave her a kiss...

Eva was shocked by the kiss but she didn't pull away. Returning his kiss before buring her face in his neck. Her cheeks were bright red as she was a little embarrassed. He actually kissed her! How were things going to work out? Was their friendship over? Though she looked so cute all cuddle up to him.

A moment after their first kiss, Andrew started to snap back to reality. A million thoughts rushed through his head. Of course there was the disbelief that he, an almost lifelong ugly duckling had kissed one of the prettiest girls he had ever met. Then, he kicked himself because he hadn’t asked her for permission first. But damn, it still has felt really good, hell amazing even.

“I’m sorry. Are you... okay?” he asked, noticing that she was blushing a bit. “I don’t... I don’t know what happened, but it just felt right.” Part of him waited for Eva to pull away, but she didn’t. Yet he remained motionless, still holding her close, but unsure of his next move.

He was apologizing? Eva lifted her head up a little as her cheek were still red. "It's okay and I'm fine. To be honest I was waiting for you to finally kiss me."she said. Snuggling closer to Andrew before she nuzzled his neck. "Your friends probably told you that I like you more than...a friend."she said. Content right there laying on his bed, in his arms. "To be honest....I've been terrified to tell you my feelings. I didn't want to ruin our friendship."she said.

"And I thought you were amazing from the moment we met, but I didn't think I was good enough- that you might want to be more than just friends," replied Andrew, now lying on his back, gently pulling Eva on top of him. He shook his head, and smiled. It was obvious that with each passing moment he was beginning to grow more confident. "I hope it was worth the wait." Before Eva could answer, he kissed her again, this time more passionately, even slipping his tongue into her mouth where it quickly became entangled with hers.

Before she could even answer, Andrew pulled her on top of him. Once again she didn't pull away from the kiss but returned it. Smiling once she broke it before laying her head down on his shoulder. "You were definitely worth the wait. Andrew you're the amazing one. I'm just me...nothing special."she said. Nuzzling his neck as she felt his arms wrap around her. "Don't ever doubt yourself...you are an amazing person that will do amazing things."she said.

"Thanks, and no - you are amazing too," Andrew assured her, tenderly stroking her cheek. "And who says we can't both do great things?" While he was always at ease with Eva, now inspired by her words and her growing love, he felt bold enough to make another move. He embraced her again, this time rolling over so that he was on top of her, his well muscled chest pressing a bit more firmly into her body.

Eva soon looked up at Andrew as he was on top of her. "I'm just me...nothing special."she said. Running her fingers through his hair as she smiled at him. "Though....if this does turn into something. No fangirls showing up at the apartment. "She said. Knowing time to time they would show up at his dorm.

“I can’t stop them from coming to the door, but I definitely would never let them in,” Andrew answered, the grin on his face widening. “Because as of now, I belong to you.” He kissed her again, this time letting his lips move to her chin, then down to her neck. He felt his heart flutter as his kisses drew a soft moan from Eva, and it only made him want to kiss her even more. He slipped between her legs and almost instinctively they wrapped around his waist. “And don’t say you’re not special, because this is pretty awesome.”

Eva blushed once again before a soft moan escaped from her mouth. Happy that Andrew was hers now, feeling his lips against her neck. Wrapping her legs around his waist as he shifted. "You are awesome but still no fangirls. I don't want them knowing even the address."she said. Nuzzling his neck some more before placing soft kisses on it. "Besides I'll keep the fanboys away."she said. Her heart pounding as she stared into his eyes.

Andrew groaned hearing the alarm from his phone go off indicating that there were ten minutes until accounting was supposed to start. Time really did fly when you were having fun. He briefly went to his desk to shut off the alarm, grinning when he saw that there was a new message. "Professor is sick. Class is cancelled- now where were we? Ah yes - I can handle the fanboys on my own," he said smirking.

With each moment their kissing became more passionate, and he started to let his hands roam a bit more freely around her body, first caressing her shoulders, then drawing them down he back. Strangely, he just felt like he knew what he was doing, and with that he briefly pulled away to unbutton his gray polo shirt and pull it up over his head, giving Eva her first look at him without a shirt on. From where she was lying, she could probably see the large, almost obscene tent pole that was forming in the front of his jeans.

Letting out a chuckle as Andrew groaned. Hearing that class was cancelled made Eva smile. Sitting up a bit as she watched Andrew walk back over to her. "Oh? How so?"she teased. Pulling him into a kiss that turned into a passionate session. Feeling Andrew explore he body a bit before taking his shirt off. He looked so damn hot as she bit her lip. "We shkwing off now?"she teased. Shifting as she fully sat up on his bed. "You know two can play that game."she said. Getting off the bed as she sat Andrew down on the bed. Straddling his lap before pulling her crop top over her head. Her nice big chest on view ina black bra.
