Hey! Ithink you may have found yet another use for Duct Tape! Maybe Cheyenne would even give up Magic Lotion? ;p

do you think she'll let me put it on for her..Mmmmmmm.,;)

I know someone who tried to use duct tape for hell, I don't remember, maybe a bandage and the sticky material created an allergic reaction and their face swelled up twice the normal size. Hope that didn't happen to the girls. Ouch!

Give up Magic Lotion? Never!

Funny, I was just finishing wrapping two tubes to be sent off on a mercy mission to one of those places in the world where this wonderful product can't be bought! I decided to put on the customs form "scented lotion." :D

The duct tape clothing is made by taping both inside and outside, the resulting "fabric" is shiny and feels some what like latex, only lighter and more malleable.
It is actually very easy and fun to work with-you can make great armor costumes for kids. It is difficult to paint but I believe that colored tapes are now also produced.
Before someone thinks I am into tape clothing let me clarify that I learned about this while studying costuming in college-duct tape= cheap armor repair. It is easy to apply and under lights it is an ok sustitue should someone's armor have need for repair.

I thought this is cool an it would be a great project for my homeschooler....

Last year, I sliced part of my lower lip open (you could see my teeth through the injury), I duct taped it together and finished the job. Afterward, I went to one of my buddies in the ER and asked him if I needed to do anything else (cuts on the face "always" medical require care--expeically if it is a muscular/expressive area, if it had been on my arm--no biggie). He tol dme I did perfect in sealing the wound before the swelling started because when it did swell, it sealed the wound perfectly. He gave me some medical grade steristrips that are less eyecatching for working in the ER and I have almost no scar today. It is only visible when I get a tan on my face.

I always carry duct tape in my truck!

BTW--the best quickie cast I have ever worked with was the Sunday newspaper with duct tape to support the misshapen limb. (Never completely encircle the skin--it must have enough room to stick your fingers under the support device or you can cause major problems.) IMO, it is better than the big rod-filled support things the EMTs carry. Especially on the patient when it has to be removed--12 things of velcro being pulled on or slicing through ducttape...hhhmmm...yeah, i know my preference....

Duct tape is awesome! I had to use duct tape to create cleavage for a high school play. Took two of us to wrap me up and not have it peek up above the corset. Great affect, but a bitch to remove after the show. The divers at my school also used it as a double layered shirt to protect against the inevitable bely flops when attempting new dives. Lessened the impact. And I've heard of a street vendor in NYC that creates duct tape bags, wallets, and T-shirts on the spot for tourists and locals.

Duct tape is available in almost any color you want..... better known as 200 mph tape in racing circles

Duct tape

is like the Force. It has a light side and a dark side and holds the universe together. :D

LOL
