Yeah, that was my immediate thought, too.

Personally, I've often been called a communist. I believe that the only way we will fix this planet's problems is if a small group of dedicated, benevolent people with absolute power take charge. Democracy doesn't work, because democracy will always be shackled by money, and money doesn't want to save the planet.

That failed in the Soviet Union, though they weren't very benevolent except to their own class. All we need to do is reject centralized federal planning for the sovereign control vested in the individual and the states, as the founders envisioned.
