Stripped Screws.

What kind of screws? Wood screws? Sheet metal screws?

Sears has a tool designed to remove stripped screws. Never used it, but I've seen the commercial. :)

Can you get a grip on them with "Vice-Grips" (locking pliers)?

If you can get a grip with pliers, prferably locking pliers, use short, sharp jerking movements as you try to unscrew them.

If you can't get a grip with pliers, a small cold-chisel (or punch) and hammer can be used to drive them out. Place the point of the chisel at the edge of the screw, angled at about 45 degrees from vertical and parallel with the edged of the screw head. Using firm, sharp taps, follow the screw as th chisel turns it until you can grip it with pliers -- at that point it should unscrew the rest of the way easily.

If you're dealing with machine screws then 3-in-1 one oil or Liquid Wrench will make removal easier. DO NOT use either on screws in WOOD -- it makes them harder to remove instead of easier!

Darn, I thought you were gonna strip and screw.....I hate it when a title is misleading like that.
