This is my idea for a game about the characters from Street Fighter. I will be playing a few characters, vital to some of the ideas I have cooked up: Ryu Hoshi, Gouken Lee, Akuma Lee, William Guile, Viktor Sagat, and Michael Bison. The story will start as fighters from all over the world arrive at Victory Island, a small island in the Pacific that was purchased by the Shooto Association, and used to host the World Warrior Tournament. The WWT commences every summer, but this one is very special because it marks the 20th anniversary -- the first WWT was held in summer 1987. The tournament has grown to become very popular, so the Shooto Association has set up preliminary matches at four locations: New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and London. Each will have 16 victors, for a total of 64 fighters going on to Victory Island. I have to go get ready for work, but I'll put up more info tomorrow. I will say this though -- Guile is attending the tournament to investigate allegations that Shadowlaw is somehow involved. As of right now, they have no clue exactly who or what Shadowlaw is. They interrogated a group of al-Qaeda terrorists during the Iraq War about where they were getting their weapons, but all they managed to get out of them was one word, written down on paper: Shadowlaw.

Guile hopes to find some answers at the tournament. He suspects Shadowlaw may try to recruit some of the fighters (which is true, lol).

When the time comes, you can choose to join the good guys, or join Shadowlaw :).

More to come.

Just a friendly bump. More info coming soon. So, what ideas do you have for characters?

What no Chun Li? I'm appalled. She was an awesome character to play.

hmm....meh, i'm thinking i'll avoid this one. not really feeling like joining any new ones right now that i've not started

Okay all, Ken is up for grabs. And Lust, I was mentioning the chars I'm playing. Feel free to jump in as Chun-Li :). Peeples, you can choose any SF char, except the ones I'm playing. Or, if you don't like any of the characters from the SF series, make your own :). You may also use chars from other fighting games, such as Tekken, Virtua Fighter, Soul Caliber, etc.

Okay, I got some of my chars done, but I'm tired, so I'm going to bed, lol. I'll finish up and post tomorrow.

Okay, I decided to stay up and do it, lol.

These are my active characters. The others will be used as NPCs and plot devices as needed.

Ryu Hoshi
Age: 23
DOB: May 10th, 1984
POB: Osaka, Japan
Ethnicity: Asian
Nationality: Japanese
Style: Ansatsuken

Ryu is a very dedicated fighter, obsessed with constantly improving his abilities and honing his skills. As a baby in Osaka, Ryu lived in a very small apartment with his parents, who were very poor indeed. His father was an unpopular and unsuccessful Cage Fighter, and barely brought home enough money to keep their fridge full. Forced with the realization that he must give up fighting, and discovering his wife had cancer, Mr. Hoshi made a drastic move, and turned to organized crime. It is unknown who he joined with, but several months later, he was murdered for mysterious reasons. The grief proved too much for Mrs. Hoshi, and her illness worsened. Knowing she was not capable of raising the infant Ryu, she contacted her husband's old sensei, Gouken Lee, and begged him to take Ryu, whom he agreed to adopt. According to what Gouken told Ryu when he was older, his mother died several months later in a hospital in Kyoto.

When Ryu was about eight, a boy from the United States came to Gouken's dojo, apparently the son of an old friend of Gouken. The two boys hated each other at first, but soon grew to become friends and rivals. The two were home-schooled by Gouken, however, Ryu never took the actual exams required to get a diploma. Shortly after he turned eighteen, he parted ways with his friend and master, and sought out to improve his skills, especially Hadou, a name that was given to the ability to harness one's ki and distribute it through out the body, making one stronger and faster. The Hadouken was the ability to summon ki into the palms of one's hands and project it in the form of a large energy ball. The Shoryuken was the act of harnessing ki into one fist and then releasing a powerful punch, usually an uppercut.

For five years Ryu traveled the world, searching for strong fighters and training harder than ever. Then, returning to Gouken's dojo, he showed his former master how his power had doubled during his journeys. Deciding to fight in the upcoming World Warrior Tournament, Ryu attended the preliminaries in Tokyo, secured a place among the final sixteen, and got a plane to Victory Island.

(Regardless of the plane behind him and the abbreviation AF on it, I made Guile army instead of air force. And also regardless of the pic, Guile has much shorter hair, in compliance with military standards.)
William Guile
Age: 34
DOB: March 16th, 1972
POB: Detroit, Michigan, USA
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Nationality: American
Style: Kickboxing

As a young child, Guile was a bit of a troublemaker. He would play pranks and bully other kids around. It all culminated to a fateful day when he was thirteen -- he beat a gay student nearly to death, leaving him bruised and scarred in a pool of his own blood. From there, Guile was sent to juvenile detention, where he remained for three years. When he was sixteen, Guile was sent to a military school for special cases, with the hopes that they could finally knock some sense into the troubled youth. And it actually worked, for through discipline, honor, and pride, Guile grew to appreciate and even respect his superiors. One day when he was seventeen, he sought out the gay boy he had beaten, and apologized. To his surprise, the boy accepted Guile's apology, smiled, and walked off. Satisfied with himself, and finally guilt-free, Guile decided to attend West Point Academy, which he did, graduating with top marks a few months after turning twenty-two.

As a Second Lieutenant in the US Army Rangers, Guile had many successful missions, especially during the Iraq War. By age twenty-five, he made First Lieutenant, and then mere months later, become a Captain and gained his own four-man team (him, a 1LT, and two 2LT). At age thirty-one, his team was merged with two others, forming a twelve-man unit. He was promoted to Major and given command of the new team.

For three years they have sought out the truth behind Shadowlaw. During an interrogation three years prior, Guile and his executive officer, Charlie Nash, demanded to know who supplied the futuristic weapons to a group of captured al-Qaeda terrorists. They would not speak, so Guile shoved a piece of paper and a pen towards one. They still would not comply, and after subjected to horrific torture, one of them actually reached for the pen, writing down “Shadowlaw.”

Now, three years later, Army Intel suggests Shadowlaw may have some presence at the upcoming World Warrior Tournament. He does not question how this knowledge was obtained, but goes to train himself, and enters the tournament, making it as one of the final sixteen from New York and then heading to Victory Island.

Okay, my fault. I somehow got an older offline this morning that was really from yesterday or something. Anyway, Ken IS up for grabs.

besides, considering our track record on here, you'd get more response without me, i'm sure.
