Hi,
My gf and I want to use a strapon. I am a little aprehensive about having a large object in my ass, was wondering if anyone knows where I can find a smaller, at least narrower one? websites or possibly a san diego area store.

Why not try something a little smaller and skip the strapon idea for the time being? There are many variations of butt plugs that you might choose to invest in for the time being. A strapon, with its requisite ring and dildo, can be quite an expense if 1. you should decide you don't like it, and 2. you've never experienced anal insertion before. (I'm assuming you are new to anal play, but I might be wrong.

A couple of suggestions?

1. Go to an adult toy store or visit those on the web and search out butt or anal plugs. They come in a large variety of sizes, so select the smallest one. (It's just slightly larger than the average man's finger.) With lots of lube, it should just slide in and still give you prostate stimulation. You might want to buy the next larger size to work up to the feeling. (Hint: you can also use these with your girlfriend, though if you do I would strongly urge covering them in a condom during use.)

2. There are vibrators that are called "slim" because they are, well, very narrow. You don't need to put batteries in if you don't wish the vibration. They are typically around 7" - 8" long, longer than a plug, but much more narrow than regular sized dildo or vibrator. They are also fairly inexpensive. I think around $10 or so. While this will be "thicker" than a butt plug, it won't be as thick as a regular dildo, and you and your girlfriend can get used to the in and out motion.

I would really get used to the feel of anal penetration first with inexpensive toys before graduating to a strapon. Once you've determined how large an object you feel gives you the most stimulation, then you can search for just that certain strapon and dildo!

My hubby can take my 8" strap on quite easily, nick, but we worked up to it over time with bigger and bigger vibes. I think you'll be surprised to find you "need" bigger things to give you that "full" feeling you once got from just a finger or two.

I think everyone that commented missed the point. Start slowly. The first reaction upon anal penetration is for the sphinter to contract. Take some time in play and allow you body to become used to the object you are using. After your body has relaxed enough to take whatever size you are using, move on to something larger.
