Strap-on's of the Future!

When I read the article I immediately thought of Asimov's short story "The Last Question" which he wrote in the mid 1950s. Of all the SciFi books and stories I have read that is one that has really stuck with me. Right now it almost seems prophetic.

It may be the single greatest SF story ever written. "And the Galactic AC said, 'Let there be light . . .'" Love it, just love it.

Man, Cyberpunk 2020's story line and gear are getting here more every year.

It's cool as hell, so long as I'm not the GM. Kibble anyone?

I think I'm of the aging 42% that doesn't want any part of some twit using his Googleglasses to take pictures of me. I might be tempted to take my walking stick to his glasses first and his kneecaps second!

Thank you sir, I am impressed. I, like many others, could not remember the name of the story, but the idea and the ending has stuck in my mind for a long time.

If you have not read it here is a short story by Arther C. Clark that sent a shiver down my spine when I read it.

If you have not read it, it is a good one and if you have I think it is worth a reread.

And Bear, I agree with you. Whilst I can see an advantage for glasses with things like maps and such therein, the thought of some berk taking pictures is not high on my list of things to enjoy.

Glasses like that are a feature in my Nude Day story. I just kinda made them up but I knew about google glasses. Maybe I'll do some more research before I write chapter 2.
