As every week day for the past three months, Tanya got on the train that took her from home to work. Changing jobs had been a difficult decision, and having to commute for about 40 minutes every day had almost made her change her mind. But her new job was fantastic, and she was slowly learning to make the most of that dead time. She had bought and eBook and took to reading again. She had never before read that much, and she was starting to love it. Sometimes, she would almost miss her stop if the plot was very addictive.

That is why she was so surprised when his voice made her raise her sight from the book for the first time. She was reading, concentrated as usual but his words “let me help you, ma’am” made their way into her conscious mind. She was never distracted by any sound, but his voice had something…

Then she lifted her eyes looking for the origin on the voice and fell for him almost immediately. He was not the kind of guy she would usually fall for. He was a bit chubby but muscular for his 1,8 meter height, and she had always dated slim guys. So in any other occasion she probably wouldn’t have noticed him. But something in his voice woke her from her reading trance, and she got more and more curious about him. So much, that she spent the rest of the train time secretly looking at him, waiting for him to speak so that she could hear that voice again and find out what was so intriguing about it.

But he wouldn’t speak again. He just sat 3 seats away from her, got a book out of his case, and started reading, just like she was doing some minutes before. He kept reading, also concentrated as she had been, until she had to get off and saw him for the last time.

Tanya deduced that he had got on the train at that very same station, as he took the book from his bag. Due to his clothes, she imagined that he was also going to work and that she might see him again. So everyday since the following day she rose her eyes from the book when the train stopped at that station she had seen him for the first time, and looked for the mysterious guy. But after months trying and never seeing him again, she eventually gave up, and always regretted not having talked to him.

So when she saw him again that morning, when she was walking down the corridor to get off the train, she froze for a second. Should she talk to him? Tell him that he had been in his mind for so long?

The man behind her in the corridor was pressuring her to keep walking, so Tanya did the craziest thing. Walked a couple more steps, and sat on the closest unoccupied seat. She needed time to think. She had to get off, or she would be late for work. But she couldn’t leave again without knowing more about him, who he was, where he was headed, why his voice had pinched her in that particular way. Her mind started working on the mishmash of ideas to try and solve the situation in the most efficient way.

Name: Adrian Hales
Age: 38
Height: 6ft (1.8 metres)
Hair: black, short
Eyes: piercing blue
Build: Tall, broad and slightly chubby
Matrimonial Status: engaged

The early morning sun was already hot, as Adrian waited on the platform. The platform clock read 07:12. “Three minutes to go” he mumbled.

Adrian was English, but currently working in spain. He was a project manager, but as he had spanish relatives when he was younger, he spoke fluent Spanish as well as passable french. One thing he did appreciate about the Spanish were the trains, nearly always being punctual.

He looked around the platform, and saw her again. He had seen her most days for the last couple of months, catching the same train it seemed. Always well dressed, her attire suggesting some form of managerial role, smart, professional yet always a feminine touch.

She was wearing an electric blue sleeveless dress, the panelling revealing her slender curves perfectly, her wavy brunette hair in a high pony. Her shoulders were covered with a light white summer cardigan.

He wore a bespoke light brown linen suit, idea for the hot temperatures, and a pair of brown brogues to match. His shirt was a pale sky blue, with a stripy matching tie.

As he looked at her from the corner of his eye, the train approached the platform, the sound of the brakes benig applied filling the station. As the train’s arrival was announced on the public address system, Adrian boarded the train, appreciative of the air conditioned carriages, sitting down placing the case above him on the racks before taking a seat. The advantage of the early train was that he could nearly always rely on getting a seat.

As the train pulled out of the station, he was oblivious to the lady in blue watching him from a few seats down, as he read his photography magazine. He turned the pages slowly as he read each paragraph twice, ensuring he absorbed every last bit of information within.

As the train emerged from a short tunnel, ADrian was aware that his stop was close, as he gathered his belongings. As the doors opened, he stepped onto the platform, his purposeful stride leading him to the stairs, and ascended them.

Almost on auto-pilot, He walked along the streets to a small square, and sat down at a small cafe, under the sun -umbrella and ordered himself a cheesy croissant, glass of tap water iced and a latte.

Tanya felt like a crazy teenager. She was almost 30, for God’s sake, and she was going to be late for work because she was following a guy she hadn’t even met!

But there was something really seductive about him, and she couldn’t keep her eyes off of him. Maybe those piercing blue eyes. Or that linen suit that looked so good on him. She couldn’t really tell, but she was mesmerized.

She hadn’t decided about what to do next, when she saw him picking up his things and leaving. She had no choice but to following him, trying not to be spotted by him, as she couldn’t think about what to say or do yet.

It was an easy task, though, since as soon as he left the station he resolutely walked street after street until he reached his destination, a cute cafe placed in a middle of a square.

Tanya wasn’t brave enough to walk in, so she sat on a bench across the cafe and grabbed his phone. “Feeling a bit sick, can you cover for me?” she quickly wrote to her coworker, as she kept an eye on the guy.

“Think, think, think!” She yelled at herself and she posed reading on the bench, planning her next move. She had to play something neither too cheesy or too bold, she didn’t want to scare him or make him think she was a crazy stalker (thought she had to admit she kind of was right now)

.

Adrian looked up from his tablet and took a sip of his rather creamy coffee, leaving a dollop of milk on his top lip.

He licked it off as he surveyed the square, and double backed on him self, something, or rather some one caught his eye.

It was that lovely elegant blue dress. He looked at her, it was definstely the same woman from the train....

"Wierd coincidence " he muttered to himself, as he started to eat his breakfast.

Tanya got up and started walking towards the cafe the guy was sitting at on a hunch.

She was not a hundred percent sure, but she thought she glimpsed him looking at her for a second. Might he have noticed her? She looked away for a second and when she moved her eyes towards him again, he was definitely looking at her. Or so she thought. And that sprang her legs walking.

The closer she got to the cafe, the crazier she felt. And when she finally got there, she looked down to the floor and walked to the furthest away table.

She looked at him at the corner of her eye, and saw him again reading from his tablet. It must have been her imagination, she made herself believe.

Tanya ordered a black coffee and waited until he finished his breakfast.

.

As Adrian finished his coffee, he reached for the napkin, and dabbed his lips dry. As he did so, he looked at the bench, but she had gone. He quickly looked around, and soon saw her a few tables away, the blue bra strap exposed from under the shoulder strap of her dress, as it obeyed the law of gravity and slid down her arm slightly.

He studied her, her sensual eyes, her delicate application of make up, the earrings. He was attracted to her, and loved her dress sense. Todays dress especially so.

He caught the eye of the waitress, and ordered himself a second latte, not tha the needed it but he wanted to prolong his vision as much as he could.

She looked at him briefly, he smiled, unsure whether she saw him or not as she looked else where on the small square. Suddenly she looked at him, and he smiled. As he did so, he raised his empty coffee cup, gesturing whether she wanted to join him for a coffee?

Tanya was confused. She was acting so crazy about this guy. There was something about him so enticing that she couldn’t take her eyes from him.

And when finally their eyes met, she melted inside. Her mind wanted him. Her body wanted him. And she couldn’t know why.

Before she could think about it, she had got up and was walking firmly towards him. The way he invited her to his table raising his cup finally pushed her button. She was so determined that she even forgot her book where she was seated. But it didn’t matter to her at all. She just wanted him.

Tanya seated in front of him, looked him directly in the eyes, trying to find his deepest thoughts. Would he be as excited as she was?

“I don’t know why, but you make me feel so aroused.” she blurted without even thinking. Her body had finally taking over her rational mind.

.

"Is that why you followed me from the station young lady?" he asked, his voice slow, polite, somehow commanding. He was smiling though, and as such he was in his way complimenting her for haivng followed him.

The waitress soon returned, with his coffee.

"Oh and what ever the good lady would like please."

He watched her as she stated her order, Adrian was starting to feel aroused, and intoxicated by this total stranger.

So he had noticed her from the beginning. And she couldn't think whether it was good or bad. On the one hand, it meant that he was interested in her too. But it also meant he had seen her make a fool of herself.

But there was a hint of compliment is his question, so he was flattered and interested.

She asked for another coffee, although she only felt like leaving the place with him.

''Maybe. Are you happy I did?'' She asked him when the waitress left.

She just needed to know whether he was in it like her, whether he was as interested in her as she was in him. In a second she would find out, and her heart and soul was beating hard for it.

.

''Maybe. Are you happy I did?''

He smiled as he reached out and cupped her cheek for a brief moment.

"I like your dress sense, and I've often wondered whether your lingerie is as sexual as your work attire..."

Their eyes met...

"My only condition is that there are no names....."

As the waitress returned with their drinks he just smiled at her.
