OOC: The premise of this thread is four strangers in are in a hotel elevator when the powers goes off. In the panic and confusion things happen. (I'll let the other players decide what those things are :) ) The backup generator allows only shadows to be seen. Afterwards when the power comes on they want to find each other again because they are curious to know what the person(s) looked like that provided them with intense pleasure in a brief time. Therefore I'd like to try this thread with limited character descriptions since in an elevator most people don't look around, they just stare straight ahead or whatever waiting for their floor. I'll play a male character and get it started.

IC:
"Hold that elevator!" I said, hurrying towards the elevator. I could see three shadows through the small space created by the closing door. With a clunk the door closed onto an umbrella handle and mechanically grunted as the doors slid open.

"Thanks" I said stepping into the elevator backwards. It was a silly superstition of mine and I could almost feel the others staring at me. I thought heard a stifled laugh, but it could've been a cough.

In the stainless steel door's distored mirro image, I could see my face was flushed and I was sweating. Partly because I just ran down one of the longest lobbies on Earth and partly because I was nervous about tomorrow's evaluation in the hotel's meeting room. Our meeting had gone longer than expected, past 9 p.m., but I felt the presentation had gone well. I was looking forward to a relaxing evening in my room with just me, a warm bath, and some adult films.

The elevator seemed to be moving at a crawl. I began digging in my briefcase for a pack of mini-candybars that were given at the meeting. I tugged at my tie loosening it and hoping the elevator would reach the sixth floor soon so I could begin my evening of empty calories and male curiosity.

The floor selection lights all began blinking at once. I assumed some prankster had hit all the buttons, that would be my luck. But we didn't seem to be moving. "Oh come on!" I muttered under my breath. I had just peeled open a candy wrapper when the car lurched upward and puttered out with a whimper and gear grinding. Then everything went dark.

A subtle hum surrounded the elevator car as no one spoke or moved assuming the lights would be back on soon. I clicked the indiglo on my watch and hoped I would be at my room for the 10 o'clock movie.

"What was that?" Blinking once or twice, trying her hardest to see through the dim lit area, Cecilia flinched. Did the elevator just shut off? She felt a wave of panic brush over her. Why, why did it have to happen now of all times.

She tried again to see someone, only wishing that the light around gave off more light than it did. No such luck. She gave a sigh and a nervous frown, leaning back against the wall.

Cecilia had a more than busy day. Her own sense of finalizing a co-management, a certain raise in her statis, to the hotel had gone terrific. Unluckily, she'd nearly been late for the appointment, the traffic outside obviously horrendous, having taken at least three hours off the clock from her lucky, very early leaving time. And then there was a problem with the parking, then a mix of the luggage, and then she'd finally gotten her room and made it to the meeting. She seemed to have gotten lucky.

Cecilia seemed like the type of young woman to be leaning towards the business industry, and thus it was also no wonder that she was also a reporter in that, currently on her vacation to try and get a good few new ideas, as well as rest from the hectic life of snapping up stories every ten seconds. Still, her patience was running thin today, and the elevator wasn't helping.

"At least open up on whatever floor we're on..." She uttered these words softly under her breath, her eyes looking ahead from her corner to the right in the back. Had the power gone out? Well, as long as the elevator didn't start going down, then she was fine.

Taking a deep breath Cecilia shook her head. Right now she was aching to get to her room, get rid of her clothes and just lay down and watch the t.v. or something. It seemed the elevator wanted to be a pain.

Just after I tried to reassure the sexy voice that these things happen and we'll be okay eventually, the elevator shifted. Everyone startled a little. But it seemed like we'd be there awhile. Someone suggests we all sit down and in doing so I brush a pantyhose covered knee and upperleg. Imagining to myself who this is attached to and how short her skirt is, I apologize. "Sorry about that" I say.

I take off my jacket and tie, being a manger is not really something I wanted. But here I am training for it for some reason, learning about all of the marketing firms policies and such while daydreaming about our trainer stripping.

"My plans for the evening were to hit the gym and clean up, then go out and explore the area around our hotel. Guess not now." I say in an attempt to break the uncomfortable silence.

Cecilia turned her head in the direction the 'I'm sorry' came from, trying her hardest to see in the dark. Well, it was a bit difficult to sit in the small, confined space with the skirt she was wearing, though pulling it down as best she could, not quite able to have it reach her knees, she sat and crossed her legs, removing the jacket she was wearing over her uniform.

"That's quite alright.." She replied quietly in that polite, almost british accent in her soft voice as she smiled, invisible in the darkness. Well, at least the air was cool, the vent above providing them with oxygen, unlike some older models of elevators which would have no air circulation, and be horribly hot and stuffy. She listened as the man spoke, blinking in the darkness and following his voice.

"My night was going to be rather serene and bland. I wonder if this is all the excitement we'll be seeing, I dearly hope so. I couldn't stand it if the elevator jolted down or something...oh, silly me, watch and I'll be the cause of it." She said with the soft air of amusement.

I could hear a man and a woman talking. I squinted as if that would help me see. I knew there was at least one other person in the elevator. I knew I could legitimately feel around in the darkness and not be called a pervert but I could feel myself starting to sweat as I did when I got nervous. I had dreams like this before, where I could be the hero and push open the trap door on the top of the elevator and carry all the beautiful women to safety. My muscles would be rippling and the whole scene would look like the cover of a romance novel. But in reality I was sitting in a dark, hot elevator, sad that I was going to miss a stupid movie and a bubblebath.

The man and woman spoke briefly then the elevator fell silent. After some shuffling it sounded like at least one of the others had settled onto the floor. Fumbling around in the darkness I tried to feel the tiled floor. Instead I my fingertips brushed against nylon combined with bare skin. My assumption was that it must've been a woman with a rip in her stockings. I quickly pulled my hand back causing my elbow to bang hard off of the steel door. I could hear a gasp then a stifled laugh when I said I was ok. Leaning back against the door I finally found some relief from the heat, as the cool steel greeted the back of neck. I never was one to take charge but this didn't feel right and I knew I needed to be comforted by the sound of a human voice, even if it was my own. I cleared my throat and began, "I have some candy bars if anyone is hungry."
