"JUST SEEING IF THIS IS REALLY YOU"

I answered him, of course, with a "no."

Isn't it?

I'm so disappointed. I thought you were you.

You can't be me. You don't write badly enough.

alternate answer, almost as cool as chicklet's : "who?"

Add "scizophrenia" to this discussion, and that reader's feedback suddenly takes on a whole new meaning...

Of course it isn't really her. Chicklet is just a figment of my imagination, how could it possibly be really her. Really me is another matter. I haven't worked out whose imagination I'm just a figment of. Probably I'm Weird Harold's confused side.

Like, ohmygolly, is that like, really possible? I mean, well, I didn't think that Weird Harold, like, had a confused side.

Look at it this way: No-one human can be that organised. Therefore WH must be hiding a schizophrenic confused side somewhere. And that somewhere might be here.

Somehow, this makes perfect sense to me. At least today.

A small nostalgia bump. Sorry to those who think this is a new thread.

I came across this in a google search for my user page and it made me smile. Thought some of the elder members of the board might have the same reaction.

I never met Chicklet I'm afraid. I've heard a lot of nice things about her though.

She's still around, Rob.

I've seen her on the How to forum quite a bit.

Thanks for the nostalgic trip, Earl.

Where's Svenska disappeared?
wildsweetone was one of the very first entries on my favorites list.

She was here a few months back for a few weeks, seemed lost in the sense of many of her 'old crowd' had moved on.

Chicklet's smart and sassy, a sort of Mathgirl without the math.

I got the same guy, or just the same question...

My response was "if you have to ask, you don't know who I am."

Aah the good old days. When this was an authorial hangout instead of an author's. When all we were interested in were split infinitives and dangling participles

When even the silly, flirty threads contained highbrow authorial musings

When Cantdog was Cantpuppy and Ogg was only a few thousand years old.

Aah.

I'm now trying to work out whether there ever was such a thing as "the old AH" or whether our nostalgia is just making it seem different to how it is now.

After a few thousand years, everything seems like deja vu.

We haven't seen Svenskaflicka since July - that's a long time. :(

Months back she mentioned a new job keeping her busy.

I thought this was a new thread for second there with Chicklet posting in the AH again.
Are you talking about wso or Svenska?

I did too.

Oh, sorry. I meant Svenska. wild sweet graces the Poetry forum of the late.

Yes, WSO is scribbling to the tune of at least a poem/day on the 30 in 30 thread. I know I'm missing a certain coffee poet's presence but I can understand your avoidance. It's tough to stay a-musing if the ogres start waving their clubs around.

Ahh well, it comes and it goes.

It's even quieter right now since the Grand High Visier of Nymphomania, upbijou, has hurt her typing finger... yeah.. typing, sure.
