Storytellers.....Does it make you horny?

I asked an author on Lit today if reading other people's stories made him horny and he said, "No. Maybe that's because I write stories."

I then asked if he got horny when he wrote his own and he, again, said, "No."

Are you the same way? If you don't get horny when you are writing, why not? Are you too involved in the mechanics of it all, or what?

Since the throbbing starts for me as soon as I get close to the juicy parts, I'm wondering why this may not happen to you. Or am I just easy?

I think that's normal.. I don't get that way writing my own stories often, probly cause I live out in my head what I want on paper first to see if it's the way i want it.
so the thought and feelings have passed, but reading them does... I would say that's probly cause i'm a guy lol, but reactions from some girls on this board would make me beg to differ.

I usually have to be horny before the story even starts happening. Then I get hornier as the story unfolds. Hubby always grins when I tell him I have written a new story!!

The stories don't make me horny. I read stories when I'm horny and want to get off. I read stories when I'm not horny because I read.

I do not write when I'm horny, it fucks everything up and I end up with a bunch of repetitious bullshit that makes me want to gag. It's not even salvagable so I skip writing when I'm horny. When I'm writing a sex scene I'm usually mildly "buzzed" on arousal, just enough to make my body relaxed and in tune with sex in general, but not enough to actually have sex over.

The StudMuffin doesn't get it. Lately I've been doing all sex writing in jags of four and five hour relays. He thinks I should want to fuck after that. I just want to cruise Lit and unwind. It's hard to write good sex, for me at least.

I usually write the stories as emails for people...so yes, I do feel the emotions in them. I have not gotten that good as to just sit down and whip out a story. If I was that good at it...I probably would be slightly more immune.

With the rare exception, my stories don't excite me while I'm writing them. Occasionally, I go back and read them and think "WOW, this is great sex!", but when I'm writing, I'm writing.

Usually, if I'm reading someone else's story, and not editing it, then I'm reading it to get off, or get warmed up... so my mind is already part way there. I'm a snob though, the story has to be well written, and develop characters to at least a certain extent.

But when I write my own, yes, because I construct it in my mind as I write or incorporate in past experiences and start remembering those.

And especially yes since I'm not seeing any action in RL.

When I write when I'm not horny, my stories will make others focus more on the emotional and the love between my characters.

When I write when I am.... well... my readers coments generally focus on how horny they got! lol

Some stories will, some stories wont. depends on how it flows.
