I've had an idea for a tale, told from two different characters perspectives:
The first character is a craftsman, a real perfectionist who hand crafts really high quality wooden sex toys. Beautiful hardwood pieces, that wouldn't look out of place as a table decoration, and each is made to order, in whatever finish. The craftsmans part of the tale would be focussed on showing the love, care and attention that goes into making each piece, how the wood is shaped, guided and moulded into a wonderful piece of natural beauty, and finally the loss at sending it off to the customer.
The second character is the customer, their initial browsing online and discovery of the craftsmans website, and their order. Then it would pick up with their own anticipation building until finally the package arrives, and they are blown away with how beautiful their toy is, how perfect it seems, and then obviously their first time with it.
I want to tell the tale from the perspective of the two characters, but float between them, as the customers anticipation builds while the craftsmans hands work on the item. I want it to be beautiful and gentle, as opposed to hard-fucking and cocks and cunts.
I suppose to boil it down, it's the conception and birth of a dildo, but I want the tale to be a reflection of the beauty and intimacy of the item, both from the craftsmans perspective to the customers.
I'm not convinced I have the skill to be able to write the female characters perspective well enough, although the craftsmans part I am confident I could do justice too, so I guess I'm wondering if someone would be interested in doing some collaborative work with me on this project?
