Story Theft

Neighbors Ballteam Party, by badandy2, posted 10/8/03 is in fact, Blair Brek's Blair Becomes Owned, written and posted years ago and available at my site along with much of her other works. Disguised with a bit of fluff at the beginning and end, it is blatant theft of an old classic. If the editors read this forum, please remove this story and this pathetic wannabe from your authors' index.

I suspect they'll need more than your word for it.

Dear Gauchie,
I sure wish my stuff was good enough for someone to want to steal. I wouldn't mind, they can have it. No takers, though.

The Authors' Hangout cannot help because we have no editorial powers.

If there is a complaint about a story, a PM to Laurel is the way to resolve it.

I have contacted Laurel and the author. The matter is being resolved. Thanks.
Oh, goodie! The original reason for this thread has been resolved. Now we can use it for anything. It's been a long time since we had a discussion of garderobes.

Where, oh where is Dr Mabeuse?
He's run away and is out on the loose,
Hope he ain't up to no hankie-pankies,
Or bettin' his money on the NY Yankees.

Speaking of which... Did I miss something, or have we not been a certain jolly pirate too few in here those last weeks?

Sugar, it's good of you to note. The pirate had become overly unjolly due to the un-Yo-ho-ho nature of some AH members. As he is a gentleman pirate he chose to remain silent. He is on sabbatical and will hopefully return soon along with surrogate parrot. I will tell him you inquired.

Considering your sagacity, I hope you had a little money riding on the outcome, Maths. :D

MG did not exactly show any sagacity in this thread, though I'm sure it's evident elsewhere. In reading her postings I see she did not raise the possibility of night writer's error, as did quaisimodem, who was virtually the only one.

DUH!

Since I know neither authors, have not read the story in question, and try never to comment upon worm-wrassals like claims of plagiarism, I cannot see that I have demonstrated any active sagacity.

Only, that I did keep my mouth shut — that's me at my most sage! ;)

In my post, the sagacity in question was Math predicting – on October 10th – that the New York Yankees would lose the World's Serious. :D

Dear Quaz,
No real sagacity there. I only used it because "Yankees" fit into my doggerel. Anything that makes Pure's inadequacies apparent, though, is perfectly okay with me.
