I have a problem with story tags.

After most of my stories on the submissions page I see the following:

* Please Click Here - You Need To Add *
* Tags/Keywords For The Above Submission *

However when I add the tags and click to save them nothing happens. I have tried several times and weeks later most of my stories still have the above message reagrding tags after them.

I always tag my stories but have noticed that when I have done a search on keywords my stories are not showing up. e.g. when I search for 'creampie' to try and find my latest submission it does not show up even though I have tagged it.

(latest story submission: http://english.literotica.com/stories/showstory.php?id=291919

Please can someone tell me how I can get my story tags to save so that they register in searches and thus interested readers can actually find my work.

Thanks.

Unlike SeaCat above, I never gave up on them, I just never bothered...LOL!!

Unless you've got a cross-dressing midget making love to a alien babe while riding a spotted unicorn, what's the point? All those story tags run together anyway. How many different ways can there be to say it when most of the stories all deal with fucking, blow jobs, coming all night and enormous cocks?

(I haven't read yours yet and this was not meant as a comment about your work personally.)

Well, uh, now this is just my opinion, but depending on the story, tags COULD help increase readership. For instance: you write a story about an interracial, herterosexual affair between two middle-aged folks who work in a military hospital.

The story could logically go into: MATURE, INTERRACIAL, LOVING WIVES, or EROTIC COUPLES. Tags would let you tell readers that, sure the story is in one particular category but it contains elements of others.

Tags can also clue readers into subject matter Lit doesn't categorize. Our mature, interracial, loving wives, erotic couplings story might also appeal to readers interested in stories with a military or medical setting.

All that said, some great gettin' up morning the Lit tag system might finally become something more than just another befuddling, non-functioning feature.

how about lesbian, interracial, bdsm,

i like those.

One of my Lit stories, Mix & Match, was concocted with the goal of seeing how many categories I could cover. By the time I finished, it contained elements of: incest, group sex, interracial love, anal, lesbian sex, romance, and of course, erotic couplings. There is no truth to the rumor it also smacked of Non-English.

I never go directly into the Non-Human or Erotic Horror sections (too many vampires for me, I can watch them in movies but just can't sit through the stories about them), so the only way I find new Tentacale stories is by searching the site for new Tentacles stories.

Keywords for the win :D

I wonder if it only accepts them when you fill out each slot for them?

Hey, Trini - how come you don't stop by my tanka thread anymore? You write some niec stuff.

tags..yeah - I have a problem with them too - reading to get ideas.

Story tags? We don' need no steenkin' story tags.

Let the readers find us the old fashioned way.

Through the subject lists (LOL).

ps. They don't work worth a hoot, anyway.

Peace.

Good idea. Of course, Non-English would also be a possibility.

How about "reviewed by anonymous"?

Hmm... when I entered tags, they worked after a few days/weeks/something. I don't remember. The notice that you need to add tags also disappears after you add them, after when they're approved, depending on when the ones who are approving them have time I suppose. I don't know. Mine worked, but after a long, long time. :)

I've still got some of those red notices hanging around and it's been like a year or something.....
