What is the normal wait period around the Christmas period for an acceptance with a story submission that is a .doc file.

Placed in a submission about 72 hours ago. Anxious.

It can take up to 5 days, depending on the volume of submissions. Most stories appear sometime early in the morning, EST.

It takes longer than normal for a submission from a first timer.

Once you have submitted a few stories you are more likely to be aware of the triggers that will cause rejection.

A copy and pasted submission is likely to be posted faster than a .doc file.

Note: Don't open your pending file. Every time you do, the system assumes that you have edited it, and your submission goes back to the end of the queue.
