Hello,
I submitted my first story on Lit after a wonderful volunteer editor helped me with it.
The problem is, its state is still "pendig-awaiting approval" and more than 7 days have passed. What do I do?
Thanks
Marty

You wait. :) Current posting time is longer due to a contest going on.
Is that it? Is that all you have to say? After months and months and possibly years someone asks THE QUESTION and all you can do is give them a straight answer?

What are you? Some kind of freakin freak? Have you no shame? No compassion for your fellow AHers? Do you have no heart? No soul? No liver or lungs? Have you got any insides at all or are you just a hollow person? Hollow to the core. Hollow. Do you wallow in the hollow? Do you shout Hallo at passing thoughts and strangers yet? Is your hallowed hello just a sound that no tree can hear.

I have seen what I have wrought with your hallowed, hollow hello and am become the destroyer of syntax. Far from Dylan and Joyce I am Throbbsean.

Can't someone help this poor man?

I fear that after seven days of waiting, the said manuscript has fallen into the Black Hole of Doom.

I would suggest resubmitting and waiting another seven days before re-resubmitting.
Emailing Laurel is another option to pursue.

Hope this is of some help.

Helpful Ken. :D

Emailing laurel is a waste of time-- PMing is better....

Ten days is not unheard of, and last Christmas I remember hearing about two week waits...

I  the word 'wallow'. It looks so nice, so neat, so balanced with that 'w' in either corner and those 'L' towers in the middle. It's such a soft word to say. I love wrapping my mouth around it, with that rounding of lips and letting out that word on a sigh... wallow... wallow.

Oh but Stella, he's so very delightful! :cathappy: Quirks are to be celebrated. ;)

Thanks Glynndah!
Please don't be angry to each other, lol...maybe I have to re-submit this story...I met some techinacl problems at first so I submitted it after another nickname; I sent the story via mail but then I couldn't find the "submit a story" in my member profile. Of course the story was "never approved".
I then decided to create another profile and this time all went well, but everything is still...do I really have to re-submit my work or I wait?

*blink*

Good God. Stop. Just wait on the profile that say 'pending - waiting approval'. That's all.

Hi Marty and all!

Someone PM'd me to bring this thread to our attention. Currently, the wait time between submission and approval is 4 days (more for illustrated and audio, as usual), so I was concerned when I saw you had been waiting 7 days.

I checked, and saw that you had submitted your story on 11/7, then either edited or or just opened and hit SUBMIT on the story on 11/8, 11/10/ and 11/13. As it says in our FAQ:
http://www.literotica.com/faq/05235347.shtml#05310433
Stories and poems are approved by date, oldest to newest. Whenever the author makes changes to a story or poem - oreven if the author clicks on the submission and hits SUBMIT again - that submission is moved to the end of the queue. To speed up the posting of your work, only make changes when necessary.

I wanted to post this here to let everyone know that though you can now edit and delete your pending stories, editing them does push them back to the end of the queue. This is to prevent me and you from working on the story simultaneously. :)

Hope this helps, and feel free to PM me with any questions!

Ok, NOW I understand!!! I just opened it, but this caused my story to be at the end of the queue...sorry! It's all my fault.
I will never touch it again and see what happnes. Thank you, Laurel!!!

A welcome  for the little newbie from the good little witch.

It's intriguing me and I need to know. Just what exactly is the little witch Very Good at and does it necessitate heavy breathing?

Oh fine. That's just dandy. 4 posts and he gets a personal message on his very first thread from Laurel.

I am green, green as you but of a different hue. And I cry foul, and weep soft tears. I am a willow with no one to hear me fall in my personal autumn forest. But I cheer and smile as I consider those soft and hard and tender things that require the tears of leaves that are shed to give soft and tender warmth through coming hard felt, soft felt and wintering cover. And so the threads turn as the world, and lock tight, keep safe and frozen warm to rise with the turning of the wrench of spring. This is yours and this is that which belongs to all and should, would, ought to keep that circle for witness and whiteness and every new thing wrought.

Throw Throbbs and Keats in a blender and you get...Gauche!

No Throbbses were harmed in the typing of this post. No Keatses, neither.

I am so happy this feature has returned! There are times when the extra wait, if it saves me some horrible embarrassment, is entirely worth it.

Gauche... did you swallow Dylan Thomas? :D

My story is now approved. :) Thank you again!! Take a look if you want. It's under Marty82, title "lost in the woods".

Must have been the stream of consciousness thread.
