I was just wondering if anyone knew what the demand for nonhuman/magicie stories is? Better yet, if someone could point me in the right direction of how to find that stuff out, I can learn to do it myself! :D

Thanks and best wishes,

I'm not sure there is such a place, unless you can perhaps go to the category hub/portal and get an idea of how many views such stories get. All I can say is trust me, it's popular. I mean, for crying out loud -- look at the success of the Twilight books and movies today. Go back further for the success of Anne Rice and her vampire novels. True Blood is one of the most popular series on HBO, and BBC America has one or two nonhuman series I can name. It seems to be popular in all forms of media.

If you want to write one, then write one and don't worry about demand.

The readership on Lit is on the lower end of the scale, but steadily growing for exactly the reasons already mentioned.

If it's your first venture into erotic writing, you'll be pleased with the feedback you get. It's only when you write something outside the genre and see the hordes of people reading more 'mainstream' categories that you realize the difference.

If it's what you want to write, go for it. There are readers out there looking for it :)
