So I've got a story that has been sat in processing since 13 of September. Not in drafts, not sent back still processing.

Is there a suggestion of what to do if it passes the 15 days of processing?

I have one pending for nearly a year ?! And one that’s been pending for a week so far! In between all this some of my other work has been published in 2 days. Come on lit. Sort it out

It’s 30 now.

And, yes, there is a suggestion what to do. From the linked official site statement, you’ll see they tell you not to do anything until it has been 30 days, but, they notably don’t tell you what to do after. However, at the time of the latest update (when they changed the 15 day service level to 30), they knew authors were advising the following work-around and, by not addressing it, they appear to tolerate it and silently recognize that sometimes it has got to happen.

That is when you go find your pending story and delete it, and then resubmit it as a whole new submission with a statement in the Notes field saying what happened and this is a resubmission because they tool more than 30 days.

Just yesterday someone reported a 36-hour turnaround and approval after using this workaround. The initial >30 day holdup sucks, but maybe you’ll have as-good luck if not better.
