Story still pending after two weeks (illustrated)

I submitted my story two weeks ago (the 2nd) and it's still listed as pending. I did see in the FAQ that illustrated stories take longer to approve but I'm not sure how much longer I should expect. Is this within the normal time or should I email someone?

Well, it's illustrated...from my extensive experience with illustrated ones I can tell be PATIENT. Both, stories and poems with illustrations, due to their small number, have been published in a six to eight weeks cycle. To get a rough idea of when your story might be published look at the most recently published ones in that category and do some math. It's usually a Thursday or Friday when they finally go online, so either this week, or next (maybe not), or around the end of the year.

Well mine's been waiting about a fortnight and not even gone pending though was acknowledged received Dec 3, and that's without an illustration.

You did click on 'Preview & Publish' and on 'Submit for Publication' on the following page?

If so, try to delete that draft and start all over again with submitting that story.
