When I first started it seemed like my first few stories started at random times during the morning. I even had one start in the early afternoon (which sucked for views)

After that for quite sometime it seemed as if all my stories (and others) were all being released early am, some right after midnight.

Today marks my third straight story that has not started until after 9am the one before this one was 11am EST.

wondering if this is happening to others as well.

You would rather they held it until the next day? Sounds like a question better asked in a PM to Laurel.

For the longest time, most everything came out shortly after midnight. The bulk now come out in the early a.m., with the rest filling out the list later -- usually before noon.

It does balance a bit when it's consistent, because you get back the overnight hours the following day. However, if you post low on the list or more stories are approved at midnight than the day before, it can really put a bite in your exposure. If you normally hit an H in the overnight hours when midnight was the norm, it also hurts that the larger daytime crowd doesn't see that H when they come to the New list.

Back when I first started, it was an average of 6 days between submission and approval. Five if you were lucky, seven if you weren't.

It is what it is. With the number of stories being approved, we're lucky the submissions get up as quickly as they do. Sometimes the dice go in your favor, and sometimes they don't.

Makes sense. I thought the contest might have something to do with it. Then again it wasn't happening during Earth day/ Nude Day. Maybe more people enter Summer loving.

I don;t think it makes a huge deal here for me as this is ch. 38 I'm pretty much down to "regulars" who look for me through the Fav's rather than new releases.

However I think it does screw a new story a bit. But like you said it is what it is.

Hmmm you know Dark, maybe just maybe it is all those AIR contest entries that are causing this.
