There is something strange going on with how comments are being displayed.

These are all the comments on my story https://literotica.com/s/a-new-beginning-ch-03-13?page=3

This is how they show up in my Control Panel

As you can see, these comments have already been approved.

The number of comments is even accurate when I find my story listed in the Lesbian Category

But when I click on the story and go to the last page...

Then, when I click on the comments

But then, when I click on Newest First...

I mean, I know different pages refresh at different times but this is just plain ridiculous?

Maybe @Manu could shed some light on this strange display of pages.

I am bumping this and tagging @Manu because the story still isn't displaying comments. Also, new stories aren't showing up at all on the Author's page.

this happened to me, it seems the comments take time to filter through (maybe).

when i clicked on that i had a new comment, it wasn't there, but clicking the comments on a story showed it. I assumed as it was new it would bleed over later

Literotica is really putting the “eventual” in “eventual consistency” these days.

If I was to hazard a guess, the redesign of the main site has come with some architectural changes in the background, some of which will be queue-based processes for moderation, approval, comment posting etc.

Stuff just seems to take a day or two to stabilize after a new story goes up.

I've noticed this the last couple of days/ It doesn't seem to be every story. I received notice I had four comments on four different stories from at the time two hours ago, and two showed on the story, two didn't, but can be seen through my woks page with the correct total.

One story still isn't showing two comments that at this point were made close to two days ago.

Its happened before.

There were problems with comments in the past, yeah, but I can't remember new stories not showing up on the author's page. My story isn't showing up and I see the same with some other stories from different authors.

I'm having the same issue, and sometimes it takes over 24 hours to rectify itself, but then it usually does. On a similar note; any new followers I've accumulated doesn't seem to make the counter go up on either my profile page or author dashboard, even though the new names are appearing in the follower list. It says I've had 566 followers for over a week now, I believe, even though I'm getting a few each day. 🤔

This has been going on at least since I've been here.

Show-off! :)

Is it possible you're losing some as well, which is why the new ones aren't pushing the counter?

Negative - At least not as many as I've gained. I flipped through all of the pages and there's still 58 pages with 10 people on each page, so I should have at least 580 followers. 🤔 I think it's just a bit glitchy. As @StillStunned said, the issue has been on-going for about a year, but it used to update at least a few times a week. Now it's been something like 7-10 days since the last update.

Show-off! :)

Don't you have almost as many? And I've been here for a bit longer than you have. ☺️ 11 months now. I celebrate my 1-year-Literotica-Birthday on July 18th.

Just a thought.

When I click my followers I keep getting an error that says fails to fetch. Then this message

.Uh-oh, no followers yet? Publish stories and make comments to build your following!

I should get on that.

Yea, I dunno but when I posted my latest last week it said that I had five (I think) comments but none of them showed on the story page. Then a few hours later they did.

I also noticed that on many stories this week, the stats at the top of the side bar on page 1 will change after 2 or 3 seconds. They will show more than what are listed on whichever list you came from, then 2 seconds later revert.

I wish! I'm on 339, I think, and no new stories up for publication any time soon.

Mine was earlier this month, although my earliest remaining story was published i August.

I didn't join the StillStunned fanclub until "The Countesses of Tannensdal" - I came across it during the competition and it just blew me away. ☺️ Hope you're still really proud of that one. You should be. Fantastic storytelling, incredibly atmospheric. More people ought to read it.
