Story series

I’m not sure if this is the correct spot for this but I am looking for a good story series here on Lit or on another site that people like. I have read a few stories over the last couple of days and they were left open ended or like there was going to be another story and they just stopped. I don’t know if anyone else gets that connection to characters in the stories but I did.

So please leave your suggestions on the thread and I hope to find a great series!!!

Just some insight, more often than not what happens is someone decides to try writing a story. And, more often than not, they haven't done serious writing before. And, for all Literotica.com is a free site and the authors aren't paid (except for the odd contest prize), the actual effort in getting the story written up is serious writing (if it's going to be any good).

So, the fun fizzles and life happens and since they aren't really getting anything out of it other than some ego strokes, they wander off, leaving behind a plethora of tales only a quarter (or less) told.

In fact, sometimes even the more established authors end up not getting to finish a series they had begun. I can name more than a few these past years who shuffled off the mortal coil before their time. And there are probably more that have that just had no one to tell us what happened to them.

Any road, the way us old hands tend to deal with this is we just don't even bother looking at any with 01-05 tacked on the end of the title. That's one way to go about it. When you see one that sounds interesting and has 10 or higher tacked on the end, click the author's name to pull up their submissions and select 01 from the list to see if it's something you may be interested in since you already know they are 10 chapters deep.

An alternative is to peek into the novels and novellas category. I'm one of the few fools who still posts completed works (25 screens or so) in there. Most, wiser heads, post three to five screen chapters in there. But, be warned. Novels and novellas is a catch all, so you may or may not find the categories that interest you.

Another way to go about it is to go into your favorite category and scroll to the bottom for the top list. Generally, these top lists are going to be dominated by the serials since it's easier to get a higher rating on a later installment in a serial than a stand alone since people not interested will fall out rather than read on.

Without knowing just what you are into, I'm hesitant to put forward specific authors. For example, IncomingPornDuck has a series that I enjoy, but you might hate.

Brobdingnag is a set of erotic pastiches of Swift's Gulliver's Travels.

Harold in India is four stories in the same mythical 19th Century India.

But there is the ability to search Literotica for 'Story Series'.

I have been working to finish my incomplete story series. Christmas Fairy parts one and two needs a third and last episode. That will appear TOMORROW - it is already approved,

Fiona 1 and 2 is now the only incomplete story series of mine. I'm hoping to complete it in the next couple of weeks...
