Story Posting

Hi everyone. I am just curious, I submitted a story about a week ago, and haven't heard anything from the site about it or when I might see it on the site. Is this normal, or what would the normal timeline be? Any help would be appreciated!!

From the site's start page, go to the Story Index. There, you'll see "Login" as one of the links. Login/Submissions/View is your decision tree. This will show you the story, either "pending" or, of course, accepted or rejected.

One of the boxes is labeled 'views' within the little table which represents the story. If it has been a week, you should already see one or more. These are the site's editorial people opening the story to look at it. If the story is rejected, there will appear a link saying that, in the same box that "pending" is now. Clicking the link will likely give you an idea why the story was shot down. If it is accepted, why then the story is up, and people will begin reading it.

The process takes a certain length of time, which varies depending how busy it is around here, currently a bit over a week.

One warning: while it is true that clicking on the pending link will open the story to your view, I don't recommend it. Opening the story, you may well have edited it-- whether or not you did, though, opening that link will send your story back to the head of the queue, and it will be a little over a week, once again, before it posts or is rejected. So leave it be.

Sorry to contradict you, Cant but the 'pending' is not clickable anymore. Now it's only a word and not a link. You cannot do anything other than see if it's still pending.

The only thing is if the story has been rejected, then the 'rejected' will be clickable so the writer can look at the reasons why it's been rejected.
