Story not publishing

Hi there,

I submitted a story on November 19th that has not yet been published. Is this a technical issue? Or is there a large backlog at the moment?

A couple of weeks isn't unusual, even for established authors. It just depends on when Laurel gets round to reviewing your story.

That said, sometimes stories do fall between the cracks. Try sending Laurel ("Kitty Mama") a PM and asking her politely what the status is. You probably won't get a reply, but it usually helps to speed things up.

Click on the envelope at the top of your screen and select "Start a new conversation". In the box "Recipients", enter "Laurel". There are a few Laurels, I believe, which is why I included her title of "Kitty Mama".

Just a quick comment, may seem silly but caught me out when I came back into the world of publishing stories on here. What is the status of your story as shown in this example? If it's in the sausage machine awaiting Laurel to have a quick bite before passing on for the rest of us to feed on, status should say "Pending" not "Draft."
