story idea

i have this story idea its base on the love story of Prince William and his lovely wife Kate middleton. but with my idea the woman in the story is very high ranking an powerful military officer and the man in the story is a commoner he is very blue color works a 9 to 5 job he is a very ordinary very common young man. but before i go about writing it i want to hear from my fellow forum members all comments remarks and suggestions would be appreciated by me.

How would they meet? What would spark a relationship between two people of different backgrounds?

Also, not sure how it works in England, but blue collar workers in America don't work 9 to 5, it's more like 7 to 5. Of course it all depends on what he does for a living. Working as an electrician is very different from working as a laborer.

In what way does the man's job affect how the officer will look being in a relationship with him? Does she come from a long military line, maybe a member of an aristocratic family? Also, is she a young officer or older? Is there an age gap between the two of them? Just a few things to consider when you're writing the story.
