Story help

What I find that helps me in these situations, is to tuck them in a separate file. It's a very simple thing but not having them staring you in the face in your active WIP folder does take off some of the pressure. And a story that you are stuck on is a source of pressure, isn't it. There might be some great characters or a rather inspired setting or a unique plot and having them just sitting there is wasted effort, isn't it? So, just move them to the 'stuck' file.

THEN! Later on, when you are pondering a new idea for a new story ... open the 'stuck' file and apply the new idea to the old story and see if it knocks anything loose. This has worked a few times for me and it's so very satisfying.

The thing that helps me, though it's not 100% effective, is to think back through a story as I'm lying in bed at night. Sometimes I gain inspiration, sometimes I realize a plot hole or inconsistency.

When I experience writer's block, I like to go for a walk, without music, and spend the time thinking about the story. Sometimes it helps.

I have writers block with about nine of my fetish stories. I am looking for anyone looking to finish them.

Not sure that you’ll get many people wanting to finish your stories, I think that’s up to you. But when I’m really stuck, I start a new (normally simpler) writing project and go back to the problematic story later when my sub-conscious has had some time to work on the issue.

Good luck 👍

I get “the block” all the time. I am sorry this is happening to you.
I wouldn’t think I have the skills to finished or assist with your story but I will share wht works for me.

I typically shut down my current strory, open another and either continue with that one.

Sometime that doesn’t work, I’ll message my editors for thoughts or ask a special friend here where they would go.

I hope you break free from the block soon.

The other thing I do is to write the end of a story. This:

  1. Gives me something else to do (sub-conscious again)
  2. Provides motivation to get past the block
  3. Gives me something to aim for, which may make some of what I’m stuck on more tractable

I do this too. Then the 'simpler' story takes on a life of its own, expands beyond that sweet spot where I can reasonably finish it without getting stuck, and then... I move on to a new 'simpler' story...

Yeah - that can happen 😊. I’ve started ‘distraction’ short stories which ended up at 30,000 words 😬
My sweet spot seems to be that anything that naturally lends itself to ending up under about 10,000 (or put another way, one main scene and a maximum of 5 or 6 scenes of backstory or brief description, the way I write) I can finish reasonably well, but anything more elaborate gets mired in half-written scenes, plot rearrangements, and rewrites... My creative process is kind of a mess. As a result, I've only published shorter stuff so far.

Your bio says you enjoy writing about sissification, diapers, gags, crossdressing, and bondage. Those are specific things you enjoy, and even if you can find someone to finish them, they're likely not going to have that same deep emotional understanding of what makes those things 'hot' or 'sweet' like you feel, so it most likely won't end up being the story you were aiming for by the time they finish it.

So my advice is take everyone else's advice, and instead of passing off the stories, find ways to get through your writers block, then come back when you're recharged.

It’s a process, right? You can work up to longer stories if that’s what you want. But there’s nothing wrong with sticking to short stories either.

If the very good advice above doesn't work, then you can go into chaos, that's what I do. I make myself write some half baked ideas, thoughts, usually about a character in the story but it can be situational as well. Yes it's usually crap garbage and I keep it to no more than 3 or 4 short paragraphs, walk away for a day or two then go back and review. Most of the time I find a sentence or at least an idea I can grab onto and go from there, deleting the rest.

Good luck.
