Story Deletion

Literotica is in violation of my copyright by posting my stories to another website in contravention of two statements in my copyright. I would like to delete my stories from the site, but there is no method to do so. I have made requests via the Contact Us feedback form with no response from the administrators. My next step is contacting DMCA to report literotica for copyright infringement.

Are you sure your stories weren't actually stolen from Lit by those other sites? Because that happens to most of us at some point or another - our stories get swept up by story-stealing bots and reposted on sites we want nothing to do with.

Before you go getting so upset, I'd suggest making sure this isn't the case (i.e. are the sites your stories are resposted on owned by the same people who own Lit?) and politely asking Laurel about the situation via PM here on the board. If they were indeed stolen from here, Laurel will likely get Lit's lawyers right on it (at least she has in the past).

If you still want the work deleted from Lit, you simply submit each piece as if you were submitting an edited version, but put DELETE instead of EDITED in the title (e.g. My Sexy Story--DELETE and then a note in there asking for the story to be taken down.

Hi Emanon_Pen,

Thank you for the message. I just checked our support requests and I can see a message from you there as well. I will reply personally via email, but I can assure you 100% that we have never allowed any other website to publish stories that Lit authors have published here. The only exception was in the early 2000s when we had a short-lived opt-in "story of the day" feature where Lit authors could voluntarily include a story from their collection in a pool that would get shown on select other websites with a link back to the author's profile. That program required authors to opt-in, it didn't last long, and was discontinued well over 5 years ago, if not 10.

As far as Hot Movies - I can tell you without question that we have never granted them any rights to publish any stories from Literotica. If they have taken any of your work, you should DMCA them just like any other site publishing work without your permission. I have no idea why someone would say that we knew about it, but I can send them a message to try to find out.

As far as removing your stories, you are more than welcome to, of course. SweetErika pretty much explained the process, but I'll talk to you more about that in email as well. Speaking of email, check your box in a few minutes. :D
