Story comments????

Okay, someone let us in to the secret, how does one get readers to leave comments? We hate seeing vote results and not having anything to tell us why readers are not reacting to the story how we want them to react to the story. Has anyone found a way to get the readers to leave comments? We have asked in the notes to have comments left, we have left a comment asking for further comments, what else can we do?

Unfortunately there's not much you can do, and it sounds like you've done about all you can. One other thing I can think of is posting a link to your story here in the Story Feedback forum and asking for feedback.

A small percentage of readers vote and an even smaller subset leaves comments.

Post a story in the "Loving Wives" category - comments will roll in. You might not like them, though.



Some people do add a request for comments at the end of the story (some times in italics), I'm not sure whether that helps or not.

Otherwise, write a story that gets people talking. Some stories just don't inspire feedback.
