A few of the writers who frequently post in Loving Wives got together for a friendly story challenge.

All the stories are based on a hit ballad from 1971 called "Bed of Rose's." The first version was sung by the Statler Brother and was the story of a "scarlet woman" who teaches a boy of 18 how to be a man in her bed. There was a later version of the song with a gender change.

The stories were to be posted between Nov 1st and Nov 10th. All were to be titled Bed of Rose's plus the first three letter of the writer's pen name.

The first three have been posted to other sites, and should appear here soon. First response on those sites is very good. I want to encourage all the folks here to read them when they're posted and of course critiques are more than welcome.

I'm especially interested in hearing from writers about how what you think of them. Of course since this isn't a contest, there isn't actually a cut off date. So if you decide you'd like to try your hand at the story I'd love to see how you see it.

I'll look for them... post some links, though, when they're up... that'd be helpful! :)
