I've just submitted a story and put it in Group but I notice that it's been put into BDSM whilst it's pending. Although it is kind of about D/s it would be better in group... how can I get it changed?

There's a fine line for some categories.
Anything that is incest, even if F/F or Anal or Group always goes into incest.
Perhaps it's the same thing with anything with hints of BDSM or non-consent.
Laurel has always responded to my PMs. Give her a few days, sometimes, but even if you don't receive a PM back you may find the problem has been resolved.
Put something big and bold in the subject line. HELP! Story listed in wrong category! Something like that - attention getting.

This whole thread is a surprise. On several occasions, I have submitted stories and had them posted in categories I did not suggest. Sometimes this bothered me, sometimes not. I have one story where the central charcter is a M to F TS, and it is in Fetish.
Anyhow, when I check to see if a story is posted yet, it always says pending and the category is what I asked for. That doesn't change until it is posted.
As an aside, as long as a story is still pending the author can cancel it and resubmit to a different category.

I would have done that, but for some reason the 'pending' link wasn't live. Anyway Laurel changed it for me. I can see why she went for bdsm, but said she was happy for it to go in group. I didn't want it in bdsm because I think that crowd would probably feel short changed by it
