Are things that backed up?

Just wanna make sure before I just pull the plug on this and try again in a month or so.

Why pull it just to repeat the agony of waiting when you decide to try again?


The Earth Day contest stories are posting now and have priority for most of the available slots in in any given days postings -- that is gong to add a day or two to any non-contest submission.

The category your story is in and the number of other submissions in that category and overall all factor into how long a story stays pending.

Laurel tries to keep a balance of stories and not flood a day's posting with a single category, author, or contest entries so there is something for everybody every day -- It's not a simple first submitted first posted equation and most of the factors involved are not readily apparent without knowing what's in the queue for each category on each day.

In the past, I have waited up to 10 days for a story to post. I almost cried. I thought it was something I had done.
