story about shared motel room

I read a story over a year ago and lost the author name. It involves a man and woman leaving a conference and getting trapped by snow closing roads, they end up sharing a room in a motel because it was the last room available. I tried motel and hotel search but could not find the story, Any ideas??

Vague recollections. Maybe 2 years ago?

She was his assistant and they were travelling in a jeep. Something was going on with his wife and he ended up sleeping with the assistant who was in love with him.

I've tried several keywords but nothing pops that resembles that if your recollection matches mine.
