That to me just seems so morally wrong, not to mention that (at least where I'm from) you can only adopt someone who is under 18. That would then mean it's grooming and if you want to post it here involves the sexualisation of a minor so wouldn't be allowed. If she adopts him and then after he's 18 she starts to see him as attractive, then that should be fine. It's just the "in order to have sex" that's bad.

Well… you can actually adopt an adult. In the old, old days, adopting your lover was a thing to do between older and younger gay male lovers to establish some semblance of legal rights.

So, strictly speaking, there is historical precedent for adopting your lover.

True. I said where I'm from because I hadn't checked. Snce posting my comment I have found that apparently yes, you can adopt an adult in at least part of the United States, so I stand corrected.

Also TIL about that gay lover thing. Sad but it does make some sense.

So, while I now agree there is indeed precedent, it seems odd to me that you would adopt an adult just so you could fuck him, rather than just doing it anyway. Though I do note you also said "strictly speaking."
