Stories that Incorporated Two or More of Your Ideas

I'm often thinking about themes that would make good Literotica stories, and sometimes I combine two or more of these ideas into a story together.

For example, I wanted to write a story about a male high school teacher getting seduced by the cougar mother of one of his students. I also had an idea of a story where a man has a chance meeting with a forgotten and obscure female TV presenter who was his celebrity childhood crush years earlier, and they have a steamy affair. The result of combining these ideas was 'The Mystery of Melissa'.

My story series 'Jehovah's Witness Romance' came into being for a lack of JW stories on the site, but I also noticed that there were no real world stories about albino characters, so I made one of the main characters in the story Holly an albino.

Another fetish story series I wrote, 'My Best Friend's Crazy Fat Sister' was also an amalgamation of two story ideas. I wanted to break into the BBW/fat fetish market, so planned to write a story where a man has all sorts of kinky adventures with his best friend's crazy fat sister, and also wanted to write a story about a fictional celebrity trainwreck. So I made Zoe, the crazy fat sister from the title, a fictional former Australian professional tennis player who wrecked her international career through drinking, behaving like a diva and her erratic and promiscuous antics on the tour, and post retirement has become really fat.

Have you ever amalgamated several story ideas together to become one story?

Nah. When I make stuff up, my mind just sort of wanders.

It would be hard not to have multiple theme threads in a longer work, so, yes, I've done it, I'm sure.

My Halloween story, October 31, 10:06 AM was basically a bunch of fantasy vignettes that I hadn't found any way to work into any other story, and some others that came to me as I was stringing them together.

Sort of. In writing my second story, In The Hallway, I started with the idea , what would happen if a woman who was having trouble getting dates, after reading some online advice, decided that she would stop saying "No" to men? Then I came up with the idea of a man dissatisfied with his love life who decided to follow online advice not to ask a woman what to do but to tell her what to do. I decided to combine the ideas, so they both accidentally meet the day after getting their respective bits of advice online. What follows is a boy meets girl story that becomes a mutual exploration of dominance and submission. It's my highest rated story.

Nice! "Yes Man" becomes "Yes, Man". I've got to check it out!

In my case I've stuck with one concept, but tried to explore all the ramifications of it. I wanted to write a story about hucows, but I wanted to take it very seriously. Why would anyone want to become one? Can there be love in an extreme version of a Master/slave relationship where one of the two can only moo? Is it possible to achieve happiness by reducing your expectations about life to just living in a farm with the man you love and produce good milk? And so on... Oh, also, vitiligo makes spotted hucows, how come nobody ever thought about that? :D

The hucow story concept fascinates me. I've read some of those stories and it surprises me how many of them there are. Where and when did it start? What is it about them that makes them so popular? It's a very odd corner of erotica, but interesting. I guess it's an extreme metaphor for the notion that deep inside a woman wants to be submissive and domestic.

I've thought it would be interesting to explore the concept you're considering from both the male and female point of view. On the one hand you could have a story about a woman who has to learn to accept being a hucow at the direction of her man. On the other you could have a husband who must come to learn to accept his wife's destiny to be a hucow. Many possibilities.

It is fascinating indeed. I sort of have a fetish for fetishes, so that's why I wanted to explore it. I guess there is some Freudian thing going on with breast feeding.

The way I interpreted it (and the one that works for me) is different and does not really depend on the gender. It is just another instance of pet play as an escape from the complication of human life. We are animals, but our culture and our brain have created an environment that is so much more complicated than the one in which we evolved, both from the psychological and the practical point of view, and parts of us feel out of place. My main character, for example, experiences a terrible trauma and struggles to integrate with her new reality after it. So she runs from her humanity in hope to run from her fears.

I've tried to do both in my story. I'd be more curious about bulls. One could imagine a way to make it much easier for a male to have multiple orgasms without losing his libido.

One that I'm working on now was originally three or so stories. I started with one for the One Night in XXX event, that was supposed to be a Commedia dell'arte story set in New Orleans. I wasn't satisfied with how the story was working out, but I liked several of the characters, and one of them fit the mold for another story I was working on. So, I took part of the cast and a few scenes from the first, and put them in the second.

Maybe some day I'll go back and try to fix that other story. We'll see.

In 2003 I took part in the NaNoWriMo challenge to write 50,000 words in a month. I knew I could do that so I added some extra challenges to myself:

1. to write the 50,000 words, edit it all, and
2. to have it posted on Literotica (given the then delays in process) by the end of the NaNoWriMo month.

Before NaNoWriMo started I planned a linked series of stories with about 24 episodes, each slightly different. As I started to write I found that some of the 24 ideas were too similar so I gradually reduced them. In the event I ended up with 12 linked stories published before the end of the month and slightly over 50,000 words long in total.

The project used a large number of my outstanding plot bunnies but still left me with a couple of dozen continuing to breed...

The finished project starts here:

Story ideas have basically 3 stages for me:

1. Floating around in my head as just a vague idea, a setting, a character, or multiple details I think could make an interesting story. They stay in my head and slowly develop and evolve until they are more or less solid ideas.

2. Written down in my story ideas document. By the time I write them down they have solidified in their general premise and overal plotline. I still come back to them to add notes or change details when I have new ideas, but overall they tend to get refined rather than changed at this point. If I do not like the idea or want to try an entirely different angle they might be deleted from the file and go back to stage 1.

3. Work in progress. At this point I start with outlining and planning the story. There might be some new ideas incorporated, but overall it stays pretty much within the previously established boundaries and direction. Then I start writing, and once again, while it might develop as I'm working on it, it usually doesn't go off into entirely new directions.

I often have a handful of stage 1 stories playing around in my head. Sometimes one swallows another and they merge into a single, more complex idea. This is the only stage in my idea process where such fluidity exists, but the combination of multiple ideas into one (or splitting one idea into multiple stories) happens every now and then.

I throw in many themes and insanities. A tale may include multi-generational incest, Polynesian royalty (in Nevada), modern steam engines, and mandolas and 'ukuleles. Another contains consensual trephination and weirdo-fucks. Many exude various religio-social issues. Whatever works. I usually don't write stuff focusing on only one point; I stab with all the fork's prongs.

All the time. I can't write "an anal story" or "a blowjob story", with nothing else around it. There are always multiple threads going through my stories.

"Mud and Magic" is both a traditional "good vs. evil" fantasy story, a coming-of-age tale and my spin on harem hentai in a very roundabout way, with kinks ranging from bi-male to lesbian to futa to group and even some vanilla tossed in. Most of the characters are non-human, so that counts too. But none of it was a calculated move for more views, that's just how my weird brain is wired.

I guess it's an extreme metaphor for the notion that deep inside a woman wants to be submissive and domestic.

Or a male writer that longs to find a submissive and domestic woman.

I prefer feisty and real women that can give and take and know the difference. But that is just me.

[Disclaimer] I have only stumbled on one hucow story and I was as puzzled by it as I was pony play. [/Disclaimer]

Anyone short on themes can peruse https://tvtropes.org for a few zillion options. Pack dozens into each of your stories. Plagiarize freely.

Meanwhile, I've a private list of themes NOT to use again, singly or in combination, because I've overdone them already. I know when to stop. Well, maybe a bearded lady can sensually massage twin Bolivian dwarves. I've not done that one yet.

Pretty much always. I tend to have a lot of disparate story ideas bumping around in my head; often it's when two or more of them collide and fit nicely together that I start working on it.

Triplets. There's two more ideas, right there ;).

And she's got a twin sister...

Hypoxia looked across the table at EB. "Is that how what's-is-face thought of splitting the atom?"

"Exactly. You'll need a moderator, before your pile goes critical."

Laurel looked out from the control room. "On to it already."

I find it impossible for a story to not have a ton of ideas in it. There is the basic setting, maybe a twist, a new characteristic for a character, or maybe a new fetish that I have not written about before.

That a story only has one idea in them sounds ludicrous
