Stories ripped directly from Lit.

I did a search on my nickname earlier, something I do every couple of days, and lo and behold one I've my stories has been ripped directly from Lit and dumped on another site. And, I am not the only one.

There's one there by R. Richard, too. That one is on the same page as mine, I don't know if there are any more on other parts of the site. It's very odd, because the entire webpages have been ripped from Lit.

Get this! Adam is now in detective mode ( ) and he's found entire pages of Lit stories there. It looks like the site owner has sent a bot through the whole of Lit, or at least large chunks of it, and dumped it all on his site.

He has managed to locate the email address of this guy's host (free provider, btw), for reporting abuse and misuse. I'm just about to email them.

They are hard to find, because his 'stories' link isn't active, but, just by changing the page numbers at the end of the URL in the browser window it is easy to call up other pages.

My guess is that this is used to up his scores with search engines on any search including sex-related words. What a lazy dunce. And stupid too, to score high with Google, meta-descriptions is the only decent way.

Colly, just go to http://www.google.com and enter your username into the search field. You could also try copying and pasting your story titles in there, and even the first line of each story with speech marks wrapped around it. That often turns up ripped stories.

Lou, I did a search too. Nothing except a dead link (and Literotica, of course) under Alex de Kok, but a search under my other pen-name, Frederick Carol, took me to the same site as yours, but a different area

Alex, there is absolutely loads there. This guy is not only a cheeky bastard, he's very stupid.

Crimson, I don't think anybody else needs to do anything. I have complained to his site hosters and they responded to me very quickly. I now have to fill out one of their 'official forms' and provide proof of where the stories originally came from, which is very easy to do!

One of the things they asked me to provide was this:
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works at a single online site are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works at that site.

That will cover all of us.

I know Laurel is looking into it, too. I doubt his site will be online much longer.

I didn't see any of mine when I tried the google search, but if one shows up I just got the paper work back from the lawyer and I have U.S. copyrights on my work if that is in any way helpful.

I am confused and could really use some help. I googled my lit name and found links to two different Chinese sites, both with my lit name and the title of my story "Soul Belongings" (more or less).

Now on this site it also mentions literotica though (more or less). Can anyone tell me if this is just a translation of my story granted by literotica or if in fact my story has been plagiarized? I found a story on another site apparently written by me. But although I've written a few stories now, I'm almost completely certain I didn't write that one.

How bizarre!

It's not embarrassingly bad, so I don't think there's any point raising a stink about it, but I'd like to state for the record I have never - and I would never - use the word "boudoir".

If anyone else is thinking of attributing my name to anything, though, any further use of the word "boudoir" will be treated as libel. My lawyers - Sue, Grabbit & Runne - have been informed.
