I have thought for a long time that some country songs would make good stories. The lastest of these is a male, female duet. I don’t know the name for sure but it has a line in the chorous about laying down your picture. He says I lay down your picture while laying next to her and she says I lay down your picture while laying next to him. I have heard the song only afew times and I still can’t get allof what she sings including all of her first line. And there is something about being in a hotel. Anyway I was surprised and a tiny bit shocked when it sounded like she was doing the same thing as him. That is why I think it would make a good story for Liteerotica. Plus they seem to be at least headed toward getting back together.

Next song is the one about the female singer being warned about men but she wants to take a long walk with someone she can’t resist. You could go in a couple different directions with that one. The one she can’t resist could be almost any guy who wants to date her or could be her husband or she is married it still could be a lot of other men. or??

Then there is the older song about the guy who works for an older woman on a farm for the summer. She ends up wearing a dress she probably hadn’t worn for a long time. Its his first time.

And there’s Strawberry Wine about learning about love one summer.

There are others I can’t recall right now.

there are Shania stories posted. Also Faith Hill and a few other country gals. With a few exceptions, they fall into the typical celeb fan trap of formula- appealing to the hard core fans, but not inventive enough for a general reader.

I agree country songs often deal with universal themes. However, they come and go so quickly that I think only the true classics would stand up for readership.

hmmmm.... I wonder what the Dixie Chicks do on those long bus rides?
(jk...not a Chicks fan)

How about Paradise By the Dashboard Light by Meatloaf.. or "The Pina Colada Song" with "if you like blowjobs at midnight, getting caught in golden rain...."

Great Idear you will need to work it so it comes off erotic not sad and troubled.

Shania Twain has quite a few songs that could be descriptively erotic.
Shania Twain is Erotic all by her self. Enough said just saying her name is wank material.http://us.ent2.yimg.com/musicfinder.yahoo.com/images/yahoo/mercury/shania_twain/shaniatwain.jpg

"Spank"-"Spank" Would love to see more Shania.

Like the thought of a story from the song "what I was thinkin?" too.

Actually I was thinking of that song too but didn't remember it when I wrote the note.

Twain does look sexy.

Yes I can see how there would be stories about them but I was thinking of just using their songs not them. so they wouldn't be in that formula.

As the the Dixie Chicks. What do they do?? Have Fun????

I don't know those songs but that line could make an interesting story, if any writer needs ideas.

More songs

Two more songs I thought of.

Actually I head part of one on the radio yesterday. It was a blues of jaxx song from way back. and went basically I pity the fool whol falls for you and doesn't know you can't be faithfull. Thats not the exact words but it is the gist. Plenty of storeoes already with that theme but thought I would post it anyway. Pity The Fool could be a good title for such a story. From th epoint of view of the ex or a friend prehaps.

Second song is another Country. Not sure about the name but the chrous has a line somewhere along the lines of the devil drives a Coup Deville and the angel that did me wrong.

Lyrics from the country song:

Brokenheartsville
Joe Nichols
(Written by Randy Bordreaux, Clint Daniels, Donny Kees and Blake Mevis)

He wore that cowboy hat to cover up his horns.
Sweet-talkin' forked tongue half attemptin' charm.
Before I turned around, that girl was gone.
All I can say is: "Bartender, pour me somethin' strong."

Here's to the past, they can kiss my glass.
I hope she's happy with him.
Here's to the girl, who wrecked my world,
That angel who did me in.

I think the devil drives a Coupe de Ville.
I watched 'em drive away over the hill,
Not against her will, an' I've got time to kill,
Down in Brokenheartsville.

It was long on chrome, sittin' in the lot.
An' fire engine red, that thing was hot.
He revved it up, she waved goodbye.
Well, love's gone to hell and so have I.

Here's to the past, they can kiss my glass.
I hope she's happy with him.
Here's to the girl, who wrecked my world,
That angel who did me in.
I think the devil drives a Coupe de Ville.

Not against her will, an' I've got time to kill,
Down in Brokenheartsville.

Could be a very interesting story... :::wink:::

Lola would be a good one for anyone who can write Ts/Tg stories. I would like to see one based on Melissa by the Allman Brothers band. I never seem to tire of the song and can always recall the line "But I know that he won't stay, without Melissa"

That kinda love is neat :)

Reba's Fancy is already a story outline and could make a great short story, especially if you have seen the video.

My story Riding for the Brand was inspired by Garth Brooks's song Rodeo, with a huge helping of poetic liscence :)

I don't think I will everlearn to spell that word ;)

I recently went through my CD collection. Seriously think I should steal some plot from a song. :)

Oh, and Shania Twain in the "Man, I feel like a woman" video....DROOOOOL:devil: Loved the way she looked in it. Now, why don't I look like that...:(

Oh, and two other celebs to add to our list; the lead actors in JAG.

Haven't seen the video but the song sounds like it would make a good story. even without useing erher as the main character.

P.S. Nice pictures Loveportion

Do develop that idea please. I always need ideas for stories. :) And I haven't written anything for the lesbian category yet...;)

Could be an interesting story with using her or not. Nice title for such a story.

And maybe even for a slut story.

Even though Shania is definitely femme, I see her as a stud in drag for the story... After all, in the video she was wearing a man's button down shirt and neck tie. ;)

But that's what made her so much hotter in the video! :D Can't help it, I've always been a big fan of suits and ties. Both on myself and on men.

I must see that movie! I'm probably the only person in the West that hasn't seen it.

But, Basinger looks good. And in a suit? I'm sure she's a knockout. ;) Wonder if there are men out there with a fondness for women in suits? Would be great as I've got a few nice blazers in my closet...

great crossdressing scene. which I worked into my crossdressing story Gender Blender

please forgive the plug, but its slipped below 4.5 asnd needs a couple of 5 votes to get the red H back.

Nice discussion here

But I haven't seen 91/2 weeks either.

And speaking of singers how about Faith Hill?? My first real good look at her was when she sang to Charlie Brown a few years back. Boy, talk about beautifull, she could be a modal.

And no one going to help me with the words to Lay your picture down or whatever the song's title is. esp. her first couple of lines.

That is my Fetish sweety! Guys, you can have the trash look. I want the Sexy business woman. That sharp look, thin material, hair up, confidence. "Aaaaah!" Now that is an erection waiting to happen. Make it look like you are important even if your not, now you got my attention. No slothful sluggards please!

And another song

Can't remember the exact words of this song either not know its name, but it could make a neat story.

basically its about a normal wife and husband with children. They try to get togethe rfor a date night but he has to wrok late and so the have pizza by candle light. Then once kids are in bed they slowly go to their room for a some rare loving. Someone has a bad dream and has to spend time in their bed. Chrous says something about paridise and thats where he wants to be. A story would include them being successful in trying to have some time to make love. Maybe twice. Once hard passionate love and the other tender passionate love As I said I think it would make aneat story.

Reading through this thread and started to think of a few songs. One in particular that gets me thinking is this :

" Some boys with warm beds and cold, cold hearts
they make you feel nothing at all
they'll never remember and they'll never mind
if you're counting the cracks in the wall
they're quick and they're greedy
they never feel guilty
they don't know the meaning of hurt
the boots just go back on the socks that had stayed on
the next time they see you they treat you like dirt
the next time they treat you like dirt "

No doubt there are a few people who can relate to this on both sides of the equation.
