I thought the only type of story that was banned was stories involving under 18s, but in the recently published "Bitch", the girl, Karen, is only fifteen years old.

I checked the story, and the only reference to age I could find in it was the first sentence of the second paragraph, "I was 18 and a total bitch." I looked through the rest of the story and cannot seem to find the other reference you mentioned. Could you please let me know where it is so that I could fix that? Thanks for your sharp eye!

Almost all the stories in the Incest section contain underagers. It doesn't bug me. I was "underage", and the fact that people fantasize about it doesn't bug me. I know it's illegal, but if incest doesn't bug you, why would the age thing?

Frankly MOST incest cases start well before the legal age of consent. I agree that if you're happy to have incest stories (and they sure are popular !!) you shouldn't worry about age at all (I guess you could keep the real kiddie porn out by limiting it to say age 10 or something if you absolutely HAVE TO). It's also worth noting that in some more "reasonable" countries (New Zealand for example, where I'm from) the legal age of consent is 16 (see what you're missing !!). So in theory I can screw any 16 year old but can't fuck my 20 year old daughter even if she says yes because that's incest !! And then by some strange twist of Literotica's "censorship" I can write about the one that's illegal BUT NOT about the one that is. Hullo America (and Literotica) where do you get your stupid rules !!

I have been a Literotica reader for almost 6 months now, and am very happy with the stories i read here. I can get all sorts of fantasy, without the kiddie porn that a lot of story sites have. And it's all totally free! I'm going to take this opportunity to say thank-you to Laurel and everyone else who puts hard work into this site so that we can enjoy it.

Kinkywon - all i can say is if you dislike it so much here then why do you come here? It's their site, and so they can have whatever rules they want. You can always make your own site with your own rules instead of complaining, but you won't because you (like everyone else) would rather complain about someone else's accomplishment rather than do something yourself. Wherever you go, there'll be rules. You think New Zealand is so great because you can have sex with 16-year-olds? I'm sure there are other countries that have the legal age at 12 and they'd think New Zealand was stuffy and conservative.

First off, allow me to say this:
My personal tendencies may skirt the letter of the law, but I do have to follow rules. To a degree.
I will get to that in a moment.

I have no problem with KK1, or anyone else posting whatever they want, I am under NO OBLIGATION to read it.

But, in reality, this site has to have rules because THEY COULD GET SHUT down if certainl legalities are not followed.

As for the moral standards, stuffy conservatives are not the sourrce of blame. Morals are derived from a society and its allowances. If we, as an American society, move slowly toward lowering the age of consent, we will do it the same way BC was re-elected; through the voices of the people. I, trust me, am not one of the ones who voted for (I will not get off on a political tangent here) that person, but I do live in the society that did.

That is our beauty. Politicians do not make the rules apply, The People do. That is WE.

Now to the writer's problem ... here is the simple solution that I would follow if I were interested in reading underage porn.

I would copy the article, paste it to my word processor. Then I would do a search & replace for all 18s and make them whatever number I wanted.

I am free to change someone else's story once it is on my hard drive. I am not allowed to REPOST it as my own.

So there, a simple solution to a very simple problem.

But really folks, this is a porn site. The ONLY reason I could ever see to feel obligated to report this IN PUBLIC is for attention and to alert the operators so they don't get shut down and WE ALL BE DEPRIVED of its existence.

Why didn't the whistleblower simply send and Email to Laurel? Oh well, I am sure they are free to do what they want as well.

I really couldn't have said it better myself, Don. The unfortunate reality is that child porn is a touchy subject in the adult industry and in society at large, whereas incest is not.

I just saw a movie on Cinemax the other night about a woman having an affair with her married brother. In true Cinemax style, the flick featured cable-style love scenes - nudity, bad saxophone music, etc. "Cruel Intentions" had an incest theme, and was in all of the major theaters. But "Lolita" - a wonderful novel from one of my favorite writers, a movie that featured no real explicit love scenes between Humbert and Lolita - didn't even make it to the theaters here because of its underage sexual content. And when's the last time you heard of a site being busted for incest?

"Stupid" or not, this is the reality. I didn't make the rules (if I did, they'd be much, much different), but I must abide by them. There are certain subjects that will get you in trouble, and minors in sexual content is one of them. I love doing this site, but I'm not willing to face fines and jail time for a few teen stories.

We do our best to push the envelope as much as we can. We allow content that many other free (and pay) sites reject. I often receive letters of complaint from people who find some of our content (incest, nonconsent, gay, fetish, whatever) distasteful, and they are often annoyed when I tell them that no, I won't remove it.

No matter where the line is drawn, there will always be people who cry censorship. We do our best to make our readership happy, and one of the ways to do that is to stay out of legal trouble so that we can stay online and free for years to come.
