Ok, who else does this? Come on - fess up.

I have four kids (including step daughter). I'm shopping on Amazon. I check my cart and say to myself, oh, kid 1 has more gifts than kid 3. I click "continue shopping." I go back to the cart. This time, kid 3 has more than kid 4. Continue shopping. Back to cart. Kid 2 is surely going to be counting the presents and hers don't add up.

This is how it gets out of hand for me.

The kids you're buying for...

get a fucking lot of presents!

Three kids = 1 main one they can all play with then one each...

Easy

:D

advice, 1 maybe 2 things apiece (how i shop for my neices and nephews)

I do the same thing... only thank gods it's 2 kids, not 4. It's compounded though, because Unruly's Bday is Xmas eve... so I have to try and keep everything separate...

last year was easy... they each got a pony... this year, hubby said I have too many horses... so it's actual gifts.

Hey Fuzzy.

Nighthunter has some good advice. Mainly what I do is get my cousins each an ornament, a handmade item (this year their each getting scarves), and then one gift. The godkids usually get fairly similar gifts.

Ok, I'm ready to hit the "proceed to checkout" button, Thank you all for giving me support in this time of need.

I actually haven't bought anything for the kids yet before this. I'm on a toy rampage. When they sleep, I sneak in their rooms and gather things to throw away. I hardly see the need for more crap to clutter the house. Besides that, I'm convinced that the toys breed when I'm sleeping. Not only that, but they inter-breed. The proof is in the Barbie with the G.I. Joe head. Need I say more?

The past two xmases, i've made unruly go through her toys and box up stuff she rarely plays with... then she goes with me to the goodwill and we drop everything off.

it seems to barely make a dent, but at least there's a lesson in it.

this year, i made a very clear no barbie rule... i HATE stepping on those goddam shoes. she's opened 3 barbie's so far... so i superglued their shoes on :D

Lets go real shopping, we could have some fun

Get a boardgame thatthey can all play with. 1 single gift. If it were any easier, well, you'd get nothing.

Shopping? It's THAT easy? Why didn't you mention this sooner, Ruby, my dear?

God, I love when men get it.
Shit, you know I get it Sunday shopping with a woman, a little brunch, then shopping for clothes, all those changing rooms, you have to be kidding me, I get it!

*Shudders*

You'd REALLY have to like a woman to go clothes shopping with one. At least, I know my Sis is REALLY picky. I think she tries any ALL the clothes in EACH store. And, when all's said and done, she leaves with, maybe 3 articles. Aye!

Uh oh, so the 10 or 12 boxes each I get for my nieces/nephew is a little overboard? :D

Their parents buy less though because they know Auntie Cheyenne gets most of the gifts for the kids. I look at it as I'm saving them money.

I completely understand and forget the xanax..*tossing in valium for everyone*!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
