I swore I would never visit iTunes because if I did, and if I found out it really was as easy as I'd heard to find obscure songs that no one else cares about anymore, then I'd have to challenge the system by doing a search for Thelma Houston's "Don't Leave Me This Way," the shameful evidence that I once loved disco. Yes. Disco. The cheap porn of music. Omigod. Tell me they don't also have the "good" cut of "Who's that Lady" by the Isley Brothers. Of course they do. How embarrassing. I love that one cut of that one song and I don't even remember anything else by the Isley Brothers.

So now I have to own an iPod. I've been happy without an iPod, as I used to be happy without a cell phone. It's all over now. I'm an iPod junky. All I need is the actual hardware. I'll buy it tonight at amazon on my credit card, just in case I'm over the impulse tomorrow when the stores are open. That's how addiction works.

Help. Call the fire department. Call Bellsouth DSL. Stop me. Do something. Don't leave me this way.

I should get that seen to. Sounds like a slippery slope.

As addictions go, being a crack 'ho would probably be cheaper in the long run.

Eeee! Look at the new $99 iPod Shuffle. It's so tiny and adorable. And it seems so cheap in comparison to the overpriced iPod Mini. What a shrewd pricing strategy.

It's quasi-cheap. And it needs me.

That's how it starts

a Shuffle

then the iPod U2 special edition

before you know you'll be sunk into iPod Photo just so you have that cute little Hippo photo with you always...

I fear for you.

Shred your credit card now.

Better still send it to me, I'll keep it safe.

PS Don't forget the pin number

INTERVENTION

Sher... sweetie...
before you buy the cute little iPod, research it....something tells me if there is anything to dissuade you from buying it, find out who manufactures it (could they be made by children in a third world country?)

im seriously kidding. i want one so bad i can taste it. buy one for me? can i be picky and tell you those small ones arent really worth it? Lucky has a mid-size model. the mileage is good, the body is good...not a gas hog like you might expect. maybe talk with her before you purchase?

i wish you luck with your iPod adventure.

Pt 3 and final.

I like that song too She, although I'm more of a fan of the Harold Melvin version.

The Earl
