Rather than use the word "Republican" I would go with the term "Right Wing Extremist" because what used to be considered rock-solid Republican values (fiscal conservatism, small government, individual liberty) are now rejected by the new breed of far-right circles rising in the Republican party today- whose values include subordination of women to the State, Christian nationalism, totalitarian government, abolishment of the free press, homophobia and overt racism.

But the question was, WHY stop fucking "Republicans"- meaning today's extremist ultraMAGA Republicans as opposed to the fiscal conservatives of the Reagan/Bush era. Here's a practical answer as to whether you MAY or MAY not want to.

If you have casual sex with them and they impregnate you, they will force you to bear an unwanted child. They believe women to be little more than state-controlled breeding stock. Not to mention, subordinate to men in all things. They believe ANY sex act outside of vanilla missionary position, and even then only for the express purpose of procreation, ought to be outlawed by the State, since 1) it is against their religion and 2) they also believe individual freedoms should be forfeit to the control of the State, and it is the duty of the State to mandate a strict religious code. (similar to Sharia Law in Islamic nations, This is a very socialist idea at it's core, but ironically these same people think that "Socialism" means "Speaking out against racism.")

But yet, many people who are submissive might enjoy, or even thriving in such a dystopia. I do not judge others by their kink, but at the same token, I do not want others to force their kinks on me.

I have had a casual relationship with a couple whose political beliefs are extremely different from mine. Things were ok as long as we didn’t talk about them. However, it could never go beyond causal because of those differences. Some of those differences go beyond politics into values though. I think things would have been ok except she became pretty extreme in her ideas.

Your very last sentence is so important. I think when it comes to abortion that there are often medical reasons that may necessitate one that not may not be able to happen until a lot more pain and suffering happens. One of my biggest problems is what happens after the child is born. It so often seems that the ones who are anti abortion are also anti welfare and actually making sure the child is actually given all the support needed to thrive.

It’s very hard for me to wrap my mind around someone wanting to submit to someone with different beliefs. I’m interested in learning what someone would get from that dynamic. I guess I’m having a hard time separating that from becoming abusive even though I just may be the one not understanding it.

Right now, it's election season. I am bombarded with ads for candidates. No one on any side is offering anything but accusatory messages aimed at the opposing candidates. News, newspapers, on line news, headlines everywhere. None of it very constructive. I follow these worldly issues, and deal with the distress at the appropriate time. @Woolmohair In a forum with over 21,000 threads and over 1.5 million posts, there’s plenty here that doesn’t interest me as well. And that’s just the BDSM forum. The entire forum has nearly 2 million threads and nearly 2.5 million users (some of whom aren’t unique users, but still). It’s unreasonable to expect that an entire forum can cater to the wishes of one user. Folks can scroll past threads they don’t want to read and the ignore feature works beautifully for posters one doesn’t want to see/read.

And also, for everyone who keeps mentioning it, the Politics Board was created to isolate a cesspool from the GB. It’s not a place for reasonable discussion at all.

On that board, you have people with multiple user names, sometimes as many as five or six screen names to one person. And plenty of blantant trolling, and people who get banned for said trolling, in some cases multiple times- seem to get around the ban by, you guessed it, simply creating a new screen name.

I agree that sub-forum is better for discussions such as this. I have posted there on occasion. But it certainly needs to be moderated better, and they need an admin go in and clean out the multiple sock-puppet screen names over there, and do a better job to enforce the bans.
