Still Thankful for Scott Walker

The Village of Mount Pleasant has a new largest taxpayer.

Foxconn in December paid the village $1,071,899 in property taxes for 2019....

Foxconn also paid Mount Pleasant $7,325,050 as part of the special assessment that covers the cost of the land that was purchased for the company.

Foxconn's tax payments are the latest big checks that the company has cut. Foxconn also awarded $31 million in contracts for plumbing, electrical and fire safety work at its facility in Mount Pleasant in December. That brings the total for contract work to $350 million....

The company is in the process of hiring for some of the 13,000 jobs that it's promised.

B. Yount, Foxconn pays Mount Pleasant more than $8 million in taxes and assessments, Center Square - Wisconsin (Jan. 2, 2020).

So much for all those Leftist predictions of gloom and doom from the Foxconn deal.

That’s great news about Foxconn. I remember the ridicule in the national media not so long ago. Thanks for sharing the update, because if the good news has been covered outside of Wisconsin, I must have missed it. California desperately needs a Scott Walker. Unfunded pension liabilities, excessive taxation, excessive regulation, and wasteful spending on a bullet train to nowhere is accelerating the state’s decay.

Is racist, anti-Semitic dawn still banging on about this? Woah, yeah he is. Crazy. Anyway, the last time I owned racist bot's "girl" alt on this I predicted "she" would say "It's great that Foxconn didn't follow through on it's promise of creating jobs!"

Turns out I was exactly right, bot's racist alt did brag about exactly that! My proof this thread! Man, I'm some kind of fucking clairvoyant when it comes to these racist dipshits.

Anyway, the Foxconn deal is still horrible. I'll just briefly list the reasons and then maybe racist dawn can finally admit "she" got duped by racist Scott Walker.

Obviously this deal is so awful that no amount of jobs can make up for its terribleness. One study put the number at $20 billion in lost economic growth. Even if Foxconn delivered on every single promise there's no way it would have generated $20 billion. So right there any chance dawn has of every salvaging any argument gets instantly destroyed.

It's easy to document the lies about when the plant will open. The walking back of the size of the planet itself and when construction began seems to be very much influx. As I already pointed out the number of jobs promised 13,000 is no where near the actual number of actual jobs. Most of the money was to be spend by Foxconn on construction, construction they haven't started on land they don't eve have the deeds for. The 1,200 innovation center jobs are non-existent and the innovation centers themselves haven't been built. Finally, there's the $100 million pledge that Foxconn made to the University of Wisconsin. Of that $100 million they've so far received $700,000, less than 1%.

Dawn why you're still defending this deal is absurd the fact is that you and your racist alts got hoodwinked and you're too fucking stupid and racist to admit it. Wisconsin is falling further behind neighboring Minnesota in every single important economic category and the blame for that can be laid squarely and solely at the feet of Walker and his moronic Republican allies.

Sorry dawn but you got owned and owned hard. There's no coming back from this. Though I'm going to assume you'll post something absurd like "Well, it's the Democratic governors fault!" Which is so hilariously pathetic that it makes your shitty erotic that you can't give away for free seem not so fucking terrible.

There you are, dan_c00000; I've missed you!

If that's true, then it's the fault of our new Democrat Governor, Tony Evers, who rode Tammy Baldwin's coattails into office in the last off-year election. He has shown the same anti-development anti-business colors as caused the state to do so poorly under our last Democrat governor, Jim Doyle, who had the state heading toward and Illinois-style bankruptcy until Walker came in and cleaned up his mess.

As I documented throughout the first of these threads, starting about here, Wisconsin outperformed its upper Midwest neighbors under Walker, even before the millions (soon to be billions) of dollars and already thousands of jobs (mostly from subcontractors now, but soon their own employees) Foxconn has brought to the state. Now Governor Evers is trying to wreck the deal for purely political reasons. How would that help?

Thanks for living up to my impossibly low expectations of a bot alt.

Hey mods? Dawn owned "herself" really hard here. We can close this thread now and spare "her" more embarrassment. Thanks!
