Still not cool with this

I've complained about this before, so nothing new.

In the new dashboard when you're favorited by a reader you get:

"xxxx has started following you."

where "xxxx" is a user name.

It gives me the fuckin' creeps. It's fine with me if they subscribe to my stories, but that's a completely different expression.

You need more significant things to be bothered by. I'd propose a list, but this isn't a good place for political comment and it's generally terrible on anything socioeconomic.

I haven't met a psychotic reader yet. The only trouble I ever see is with an occasional author. (N.B.: I don't post to LW).

Oh, stop. It's a matter of language. All the social media sites say that. The boogey man isn't gonna get you and if he does, he'll bring you back pretty quickly, I'm sure. Come on Chloe...let's you and I go follow him...creep him out some more.

I live in a state where we are settling into a quiet civil war. I'm in favor our that. I'm creeped out by the expression "xxxx has started following you."

Can anyone explain why several people added themselves as favorite authors? I've seen this quite often. Following someone else might be creepy, but why would you keep an eye on yourself - sleep-writing, schizophrenia, ...?

Ruben, when I joined a lot of the features on the old CP wouldn't work about 3/4 of the time. Someone suggested that doing that would offer another alternative for getting to my stories page. I don't remember if I left mine like that or not. Maybe I should go see. But, it was a little tip that came in handy.
