Hi everyone!

I'm still getting used to literotica and I seem to be having troubles navigating the waters.

Does anyone have any solid tips or advice on ways to post your stories without fear of them being rejected?

Unless you are planning on publishing the entire work here, it'll get kicked back. They don't like when authors tease a story that you have to go somewhere else to get the whole thing.

You can charge for it somewhere else, but to post here, you need to provide the whole thing here.

Thanks! Would they accept a 122k word book? 😅

Personally its a big turn off to me (I know not everyone shared this feeling) when a submission is over 10-15k words. Just not a good way to save ones place. Smaller seems to be easier to digest and you’ll be able to stretch all that work out a bit and probably get more visibility. Each chapter you post may draw views to those previous.

But then again, your original question is vague. What was the reason for rejection?

I mean, but you can post ch. 1 of a series by itself. Because maybe you haven't written ch 2 yet. I'm guessing the issue here is declaring somewhere that what's posted is a partial of something available elsewhere?

Yeah. Easy. Don't break the rules. No under 18, no snuff (for sexual gratification), no beastie, and a bunch of other things. There are submission guidelines somewhere around here, recommend a first-timer peruse them.

Read the rules, and interpret them conservatively. People get in trouble when they don't read the rules, or they read them but in a loosey-goosey way with an eye on "how can I get around this?" The rules aren't that complicated if you look at them the right way.

You're implying, but not stating, that you've had stories rejected. There's a set of standard rejection notices, mostly in the form of questions. Answer the questions in the context of your piece, and resubmit.

Provide more detail, and we can provide better advice. Your post is too vague.

" Is it okay if my MC is getting schtooped before they turn 18 but their LOWER half, the sexy half, is on the valid side of the international date line? I assure you this insane level of nuance is critical to the narrative."

Literotica... 'tis a silly place.

You can write beasties. Just with care.

I wrote a hot stallion, that was actually female. Shape-shifting is such fun.

Apart from one client - all the sex in Caputpedes is lesbian; FF or FFF. Even when it doesn’t seem so at first.

When I have time, and am not drowing in my own sweat and my insane work deadlines, I am going to read it. The more I hear of it the more delightfully off-the-wall it sounds.

It’s bat-shit crazy is what it is. Sort of Douglas Adams meets Alien / 2001 meets k drama meets A Few Good Men. With no weird sex trope left unexploited.

Oh and still semi-autobiographical. Caputpedes less so, but Coleoidphilia and Determination certainly.
