The story concerns a married couple of 20 years who role play as Daddy/little girl. I’m thinking that was why and changed it to little angel. The dialogue was very similar to some other characters in stories I’ve already had published on Lit. Of course, I could be wrong. It’s one of my favorites and I really want it published. Is it in Sent Back? If you look there, it will tell you why it was rejected.
If it's rejected, it goes into Draft status so you can fix it and resubmit. Management wants you to publish the story, they just can't (in their minds) allow it through in its current form.

As @TheWritingGroup says, there will be a reason for the rejection, usually as a set of questions. Address the questions, tweak your text and resubmit. The story concerns a married couple of 20 years who role play as Daddy/little girl. I’m thinking that was why and changed it to little angel.
